My family have always been Baby Ruth Candy Bar fans. I don't share the same enthusiasm. I think the Baby Ruth bar has potential. It is almost there, but lacking.

Your getting a nougat center covered in caramel and peanuts, then entirely drenched in milk chocolate. A 2.10 oz bar normally runs me around 89 cents. I have seen them much cheaper at discount grocery stores. Baby Ruth is put out by Nestle.

My Thoughts on Baby Ruth

In my opinion the nougat is way to chewy, and also to sweet. I think a bit of salt would liven up the taste a bit more. The caramel is smooth and very tasty. The chocolate in my opinion is a bit on the waxy side. The peanuts need to be salted. Maybe they already have salt on them, but not enough. I just think this bar would be much better off with more of a sweet/salty type of taste. The nougat is way to sweet and does not compliment the chocolate. The peanuts taste sort of bland and need improvement.

When I bite into the bar, the flavor does not flow like it should. It just taste like these ingredients were thrown together with not a lot of thought.

My family would disagree with my opinion on this bar, but that is ok.

Overall

Baby Ruth could be a decent candy bar, but is begging for a bit more flavor.
