| karadawn's Full Review: Baby Smartronics Cookie Shape Surprise 71932 |
As I put my 8 month old on the floor to crawl around, I watch him go straight for his cookie jar. Although not quite old enough to put the pieces in the right holes, he love to tip it on it's side and stick his hand in the top to hear the music and grab whatever is in there. Another wonderful, educational toy by Fisher Price.
Each shape labeled with a different number makes this an excellent toy to learn numbers and shapes. Orange circle has the number one on it, red heart has a two, Yellow triangle three, Green square four, and blue star five. The cookie jar has two different settings(three including off): shapes and numbers. When one shape is put though the right hole, it either says the name of the shape or the number on the shape, depending on which setting it is on, followed by a sound. After circle/one, it says "Yummy!"; after heart/two, "I love you!"; after triangle/three, "Mmmm"; after square/four, a giggle; and after star/five, a chime.
Pushing the Cookie jar's big red nose it will say "Yummy!", "I love you!", "Mmm!", giggle, or chime. The nose also lights up while doing anything.
Sticking your hand in the jar to grab a goodie will make it play music. One song on one setting, and another song on the other. But the whole song does not play, just a piece of it. You have to stick you hand in several time to hear the whole song play, which keeps the baby interested and doesn't annoy mom or dad as much.
I highly recommend this toy because of it's educational purposes and it's ability to keep my little one interested. This rates as one of his favorites, and one of mine too!
