It is so fun shopping for the grandkids! Now that Jakob is a year old he can play with a few more toys on the market that I find to be not only fun but also, educational for him.
Being the fun grandmother that I am I want them to have things here at my home to play with. While Jakob is at such a crucial age it is important for him to have things that teach him. In fact, all three of the children play with it, so, I can have them all entertained for a little while. When they are not fighting over it that is.
While their mother is overseas visiting with their father for a couple weeks, these kids and I and the toys are hopefully going to get along well! The way I see it, the more I have for them to do the better off I am and the better off I am the better off they are. If Grammy is happy, then we are all happy!
This review is about one of the many things I have here at home for all the grandkids to play with when they come over.
The Product
Baby Smartronics Learn-a-Bot by Fisher-Price® is a great new buddy for my grandson Jakob. They hit it off from the start!
The robot is blue in color with a white face that has black eyes with a red nose and red cheeks and a blue thin lined smile. It has yellow hands, which rotate and his tummy has a screen that displays numbers or letters while the robot is in motion. He has red wheels that make rolling the robot fun and easy.
He plays songs while the letters flash on his screen and let me tell ya all three loves this thing. Jabok even crawls right beside it gurgling and giggling along the way.
Jakob can press the button on the head of his new friend and learn the alphabet and words all in one setting and numbers 1-10 that will help him to learn to count.
Requires 3 triple batteries, not included. Battery life depends on the battery and your use.
It will help him with his basic language skills by introducing him to a word for each letter of the alphabet and to encourage him to sing along while learning.
Jakob has his senses stimulated by the fun sounds and music and the flashing lights. The special effects are easy for him to see and that makes it easy for him to learn from.
The pressing of buttons and the rotating arms helps Jakobs motor skills as well as his eye-hand coordination. While he pushes the robot his crawling will strengthen and Jakob is already using the head of the robot to stand up with! He walks around in circles with his hand on the head. Hes so smart! He talks to the robot too! I have no idea what he is saying but he is serious and of course the robot dutiful listens.
The robot is user friendly and like I stated already Jakob and his new friend hit it off really well. Alex and Jordan have also hit it off well with their brothers new friend. I have had to stop fights over this robot numerous times. Jakob wins out because its his!

How I Feel
Well once again I made a great choice for my grandson! He loves this little robot and it is very durable. He decided he wanted to bang it on the kitchen floor some and the little guy held up well under attack of Jakob (Alex and Jordan too). And he looked at the robot as if to say, Now that you know who is boss we will get along well together! Lol! The look on his face was so precious! Alex and Jordan have the nerve to tell their baby brother to be careful with the robot! I just look at them and get the camera out.
Jakob crawls on the floor pushing the robot and it was very easy for him to do so. Once he got a hold of his robot he instantly pushed it and learned right away how to use it. He sings and dances with the robot, which brings us lots of laughter watching them. I can see the two of them spending a lot of time together.
It amazes me how much this robot is liked. I was afraid that the baby would not like it because he may find it scary, but, no, he didnt. And like I stated several times already the other two grandchildren like it as well. It really is a good thing for me to see them playing with it and not just playing, learning! I can hear the older two repeating from the robot or talking to it or to each other about what the robot said. The baby really does love it as well.
I hope that this has helped in some kind of way1
God Bless!
