The Baby Trend Snap 'n Go Stroller is a must have for the new parents. When my wife and I were expecting our first child this past summer, we did the traditional thing and started a baby registry. My wife did all the research using her Baby Bargains book (very highly recommended), but there were so many choices that it still felt somewhat overwhelming.
When it came down to the stroller and car seat, we had a definite first pick. For the car seat, we wanted the Graco Snug Ride infant car seat and base. This was highly rated, and didn't cost a fortune. The issue was whether to pair it with a "travel system" or not. A travel system means that the company (here, Graco) creates a car seat and a stroller that is designed to accept the car seat as an attachment. Generally they are sold together as a package deal, and take the stress out of the issue. Our problem was that this combo cost a lot of money, and we wren't really that fond of the stroller. Furthermore, when the child gets older and can no longer use the infant car seat, you must buy another Graco product for the next stage (which may not be the best in class).
We followed the advice of the book, and did some shopping around. The stroller we really wanted was the Peg Perego Pliko P3, but it doesn't accept the Snug Ride base. As an option, Graco makes an easy to use, lightweight base, at a nominal cost. But, as always, it only accepts Graco products. At this point, we sought out the Baby Trend Snap 'n Go.
This is essentially just a stroller base. The benefit is that it can accept a wide variety of different makes of infant car seat [only infant car seats], and the Snug Ride was one of them.
Now, have you ever tried these strollers out in the store? The way they move is different when you add the 20 pounds of baby, seat, and gear. Always shop with an extra 20 pounds, to give a better idea of how it will handle, turn, tip, and feel. The Baby Trend felt incredibly easy to handle. The wheels turn completely, and offer an excellent turning radius, feel, and weight. It is easily pushed with one hand, and the wheel brakes are very reliable.
This stroller had the largest capacity storage bin underneath, with the easiest access.
The stroller comes with two built-in cup holders, and a covered tray in the handle's center. Very convenient for keys, glasses, change...
The stroller, empty, weighs very little (approx. 5 pounds), and folds with a simple slide, squeeze, and lift. So easy, you can do it one-handed and then quickly load it into the trunk.
The car seat attaches to the base with very little effort, and there is a safety strap to slide around the seat as an added precaution.
As with all strollers, you should never hang anything off of its handle or sides. The extra large storage bin helps to avoid that issue.
The stroller is fairly basic in appearance, but stylish enough to blend in with any seat without looking mismatched.
The price is right -- only $60 (from Babies 'R Us).

Some added observations (in response to a comment):
Although the handle isn't adjustable, I'm 6'1", and have no problem with the stroller's height. I've seen others that require you to stoop, but this is very comfortable.
The wheels are a durable plastic, with a little bit of give in the tread (feels slightly rubberized). I'm not certain about the durability (no sign of issues after 10 weeks of daily use), but Baby Bargains gave it a strong review.
The stroller has a red hook latch that keeps it folded.
The frame seems to be made of a composite of aluminum and plastic.

To sum up -- the product is attactive, light, solid, functional, adaptable, simple, and inexpensive. This was one of the first items purchased off of our registry. The Peg Perego? We had to use all of the gift cards to buy it ourselves, since no one would pay the $350 price tag. I don't blame them.
