Pros: great customer service from manufacture. Anytime you have a question they are there.
Cons: Instruction sheet could use a little more detail on mattress attachment and adjustment.
The Bottom Line: A great product for the price and getting your money's worth.I wouldn't by another manufactures product.

| aimee31803's Full Review: Babys Dream Generation Next |
I purchased the Generation Next Crib for my second child. After Looking for a crib that would be needed for a special needy child was hard. I wanted the best. And also wanted to make sure that It would stand the test of time. It was so beautiful and elegant, however I had a son so I choose the cherry to make sure that it was not girlish. This product is made of solid radiata pine wood, some what like our pine but a little stronger (not as soft). We found by looking at the product there was very few knots in the wood. They pay good quality attention to the wood used in this furniture. The finishes cam in several colors and i have found that this crib actually comes in more colors now then two years ago. I found the price to be very fair as to the quality. I also purchased the Adult rail kit at the same time just to make sure that we had them when the time came. They assy of the product was great, we did have a problem with putting in a dowel between the post but was able to contact the manufacture and was helped by a customer service rep. that was very knowledgeable about the product. My son is now 2 years old and I would like to just thank the manufacture for a great product. With his disabilities this crib has taken a beaten and still looks new. The stability has really lasted for it to be pine. The assy of this product is with bolts and a metal insert that is installed at the manufacture. This makes a great sturdy assembly. We loved the style of the crib with the fold down gate compared to the drop down front on most cribs. The gate was as easy as one, two, three. We always opened the gate when accessing our child. We would leave the gate open until we put him down for a nap or bedtime and would re close it. It was a quite closure as long as you followed the instructions to pull back on the trigger latches when closing the gate. It didn't shake the crib when closing the gate it was wonderful, unlike most products that would shake the crib and wake the child. The mattress support is a heavy metal frame that is attached to each corner post with metal hex bolts. This was a plus because I've seen other cribs with a traditional wooden board support. That could possible break if a child was to jump real hard. Either way the metal spring support is realy a good benefit to consumers that convert into the youth bed stage. With this type of spring support you are able to sit with your child at bedtime and read a story. We converted this crib aprox. 6 mons. ago to the youth bed stage and it really has been wonderful. My child is able to get in and out of his bed with ease. The gate supports him in case he rolls he does not fall out. This was a real plus in our decision of this purchase. The assy of this product is exceptional, during the time that we were looking for cribs I seen so many cribs that was way over the $550. mark and could not stand up to the quality of this product. When you shook some of these other brands of cribs they felt like they were going to fall to pieces. Baby's Dream products you couldn't move. They were just so heavy and sturdy. What a great product they make. I would recommend Baby's Dream to any of my family and friends. I will also use them for any more children that we decide to have.
