Pros: Miracle Lotion, heals human problems too
Cons: Bad Smell, Vaseline texture
Bag Balm has been imprinted on our family since our Great-Grand parents, who ran a large farm in the mid-west. Bag Balm has always been a cure all in our house, and always will be. Sure, it's texture is like vaseline, and doesn't have the greatest smell, but when you need something that works, it's there.
Yes, it was created for udders, but the ingredients are also already used in a variety of healthcare products in different mixtures.
I know most here have already mentioned it works great on dry, chapped skin, blisters and small cuts, but figured I'd try to pass a few more uses. (May have been listed in other reviews I did not see)
My favorite use is Bug Bites! This stuff works miracles. My grandmother was bit 20 times by ants (standing on an anthill) and we tried everything in our house.... then found the bag balm. Within 5 minutes the pain was gone. It also works on mosquito bites, bee stings, and can even be used to get chiggers and ticks off of your skin since it suffocates them.
If you've got a problem, and cant find a product to help out. This is the one I'd give a shot...
I would not put on very young children (the ones that might eat it ;P ), but otherwise a GREAT PRODUCT!
