| LILvoyce's Full Review: Bag of Fat Bubble Tea Straws |
I am into all sorts of teas and drinks. I often make Pearl Iced Tea, and also other drinks with tapioca beads. You can make your tea from scratch or purchase powders. One thing they have in common is the tapioca pearls. I was first introduced to Bubble Tea when dining out at one of my favorite Thai/Vietnamese/Chinese restaurants. They had a very large variety of different beverages that contained tapioca pearls from bubble teas, to fruity drinks, creamy drinks and more. I have enjoyed many different drinks with the bubble tea being one of my favorites. This was a huge hit with my kids. They enjoyed it very much.
When drinking Iced beverages with these little pearls in them, it is very hard to drink. I like to serve them with Fat Bubble Tea Straws. A regular straw alone won't cut it. What you end up with is drinking the beverage with the tapioca sitting on the bottom of your glass. I like to make a coconut bubble drink, and it is like drinking a coconut flavored tapioca. It is very filling and almost dessert like.
With the Fat Bubble Tea straws your tapioca pearls will be evenly distributed with whatever type of beverage or beverage powder you are using. You will sip beverage and the pearls with each sip rather than having a pile of goooo on the bottom. Another use we have for them, is when grandpa comes over and makes his thick milkshakes for the kids. They are a huge hit then. The kids are able to sip their thick shakes a bit easier. We purchase them a lot.
These straws are very inexpensive and come in a package of 50 for around 99 cents. You can find these at most oriental markets where bubble tea, Thai tea, and tapioca beads are sold. They come in a variety of colors. Each straw is 7-8" in length and 0.5" diameter. They are just perfect for my glasses, and also for my pearls.
I highly recommend them. The kids love these straws and they are great when your having a party. I normally purchase them in blue or green, but have seen them in many other colors. I think they are safer to serve your pearl beverages with a straw like this than when alone. These pearls have a thick almost like the inside of jelly bean or a soft noodle. Grandma almost choked on them one day. She claims she has much better control with these straws. They are inexpensive compared to regular straws and worth the trouble if you are a bubble tea drinker. My littlest child also loves bubble tea, and I remember taking her out to eat one day and she wanted some bubble tea. Her little cheeks were turning red trying to drink from a regular straw. She became frustrated quick. Next time I will have to bring one of our Fat bubble tea straws from the house..lol.
