| michelej2000's Full Review: Bailey Nurture Iii |
I was 8 months pregnant and knew I needed to buy a breast pump; however, I was too excited to do any research. I ended up purchasing a cheap battery operated pump that I eventually returned (it was unopened, thankfully). After my daughter was born, I met with a lactation consultant who introduced me to the Bailey Nurture III. This is the best pump I ever bought and recommend it to all breastfeeding mothers!
The Case
The small, black case is very portable and discreet. It contains 2 compartments. The upper compartment holds the pump and accessories while the lower compartment holds 6 bottles and a freezer compartment. (There are models that do not include this - check to make sure what's included before you buy!)
The Pump
The pump is very small, can be removed from the storage case and is relatively quiet. There are five settings from light to heavy suction while utilizing the single or double pump. The model that I have has user regulated cycling. This simply means that I control how frequent the suction cycles by covering and uncovering an airhole with my finger just above the bottle. Although this may seem like a nuisance, it is quite easy. Besides, that's one less part that will not break! I have found this pump to be extremely trustworthy and efficient. It does not take me long to pump several ounces in a few minutes time and is very comfortable.
Dual Purpose
As mentioned above, this pump can be used for single or double pumping. Although I rarely used the double pump, I did find it to be very efficient.
Warranty
Although this pump has been built to last, it comes with a 2 year warranty! This is unheard of in the breast pump business! Remember that first pump I bought? It only had a 90 day warranty. I've yet to have any problems to test the warranty or customer service. A GREAT sign!
Price
The Bailey Nurture III starts around $100. Add extras such as carrying case, bottles, etc. and expect to pay around $150. Still a bargain compared to Medela and other electric pumps.
Instructions
This pump is so easy to use that you may not even need the instructions; however, just in case you do, the written instructions are very easy to understand. In addition, a video is included for even easier understanding of the pumps use!
Overall, I find this to be the best electric pump on the market. I couldn't find a better pump for the quality, price, features, warranty, etc. that this pump offers. I highly recommend this pump to all nursing mothers!
