I prefer stuff like Powerbars, which I would use more like an additional meal than a meal replacement when I'm about to lift weights or play sports for a long period of time. But I think all the bars share the bad quality of being too dense - I suppose this is necessary. Nah, I don't like the chewiness :)

yeah, it was actually Ramon that slapped the Balance Gold on my desk one day. He knew about my afternoon fix!

Although I still enjoy the chocolate regular Balance Bar best (remember the days getting those for free at Epi?) the Gold is good as well. The carmel is good, but it's almost as if I need milk with it or something. Nice review.

My personal favorite (Reply to this comment)

I've tried a huge number of bars by all different brands and this is my favorite. I like the Caramel Nut Blast better than the Rocky Road and Peanut Butter flavors. I get mine for $13 for 15 at CostCo. Trader Joe's is next cheapest at $14.85 for 15. Eric.

Too bad I'm allergic to chocolate. I'd definitely enjoy them!
