Pros:Can open top so sound doesn't get muffled, looks great, and most importantly, sounds great
Cons:-
The Bottom Line: This is definitely a piano to consider if you are looking to purchase one.
I purchased this piano for my kids, when I learned that the electric keyboard we bought 5 years ago wasn't the best way to prepare for their lessons. I also play the piano pretty well, but didn't want to play on the little electric keyboard. After several days of searching for the right piano, we came across the Baldwin Acrosonic 2900 at a local music shop. We knew it was the perfect piano, because it would look great in our living room, the kids though it sounded great, and was not as much as some of the other piano we had looked at, although it was still a little pricey.
Looks: This piano is not only an instrument, but also a beautiful piece of furniture. One of the reasons we purchased this piano, is because the cherry wood finish matched our living room. Everything on the piano is detailed; the legs, the keyboard cover, the piece that holds the music up, and everything else on the piano. This is definitely a very elegant looking piano.
Sound: When you first hit the keys, you think you are playing a Steinway concert grand piano. The sound is so clear and in tune, that you want to play for hours on this work of art. One cool feature is the open able top of the piano. When opened, the sound becomes even clearer, because is no longer muffled. Like most pianos, this one has the three pedals; one to soften the sound, one to echo the sound, and one to hold the sound.
The Price: This piano is pretty reasonably price compared to some of the other new pianos. We paid $5000 for this piano, which included a lifetime warranty, and one free tuning.
