ilovesephora's Full Review: Banana Boat Aloe After Sun Lotion
Last week my family and I took a trip to the beach. I normally dont burn and wanted to tan a little more while the summer is still here, so I used a very low SPF sunblock as did my family. Some of us are fair and some, like my self are a little darker, by the time it was time to go home, we were pretty burned up. The fair folks were clearly red, and the darker ones just in pain not so much redness showing.
Luckily I had a handy product to sooth us all from the painful burns. Once we drove home for a long torturous hour everyone used the Banana Boat Aloe After Sun Lotion.
Banana Boat Aloe After Sun Lotion comes in a clear round bottle with a green screw on lid or a push top dispenser. It is available in two sizes: 8-ounce size and 16 ounce. The larger one comes with a pump dispenser. The front of the bottle features the name of the product and a picture of an aloe plant.
This lotion is on the thick side and is off white. It is creamy and has a great milky tropical coconutty scent. I cant put my finger on it but it doesnt smell like your typical sunblock, it is much more pleasant.
Touching sunburns is never fun. Applying the Banana Boat Aloe After Sun Lotion on sunburned skin is very necessary. Because this is a thicker lotion, it takes a little extra effort to absorb, but once thats done, the pain will be eliminated and the skin soothed because of aloes and vitamin Es healing properties.
This product will save your skin, literally. We all hate it when our skin peels after a burn. You dont know whats worse the pain or the look of burned and irritated skin. This product claims to preserve and extend your tan. I cant say thats true, because Ive only used it when I've experienced sunburns.

Whats best about this product is the way it feels on damaged, sensitive skin. Most products of this purpose are designed as a cooling gel, so theyre cold against the burned skin, that feels awfully uncomfortable to apply. Banana Boat makes it all a lot easier on us with their Aloe After Sun Lotion. This product never feels greasy or oily in any way, I sometimes even use it on my hands when nothing is wrong with them. I just enjoy this scent and the moisturizing properties quite a lot.
I highly recommend the Banana Boat Aloe After Sun Lotion to everyone. This product will come handy sometime, even if you never burn. You cant alwys see burns but you can feel them.
Banana Boat Aloe After Sun Lotion is available at drugstores and drugstore.com. The average price for the 16-ounce bottle is $5.99. It can be tougher to find during off seasons at the stores.
