Pros:Special shapes for knuckles and finger tips. Stretchy fabric makes them more comfortable.
The Bottom Line: Great designs allow you to use these on knuckles and finger tips, and they stay on.
Caring for six school aged children, five of whom are boys, means needing to have a well stocked medicine cabinet. I have a wide variety of Band-Aid brand bandages, which are made in the USA.

I hate wearing a bandage on my hands where they are visible, and it can be hard to apply a bandage to the end of a finger or a knuckle. But Band-Aid has designed a special bandage to fit these more delicate places.
First of all, the Band-Aids are flexible, so they stretch with you. That is especially important when the knuckles are bandaged, as you are bending them all the time.
These special knuckle bandages are shaped like a capital "H". They are much wider than a standard Band-Aid, and it's like they cut a section out of each end. So when you put these on you have four strips to stick to your finger instead of two.
Using two thinner strips on each end of the Band-Aid allows you to position them so you can bend your finger without the Band-Aid inhibiting your movement.
Finger Tip Band-Aids
These Band-Aids are shaped like an hour glass, with triangular shaped ends. To apply, you place the center of the Band-Aid over the tip of your finger, stick the bast to your finger, then fold the tips of the triangular shaped ends along the sides of your finger.
You will do this from both the front and the back, and on my small fingers these ends will actually over lap. This design assures a secure fit, and they keep the tip of your finger well covered.
One thing I learned about applying a finger tip bandage is to wrap the wings of the top portion down first, then pull the underside wings up over the top of the finger. This way you won't catch the edges of the bandage while using your hands.
Both of these specialty shaped Band-Aids are great to have around the home. Their unique shape allows the bandages to stay on the fingers much longer than when I have used a regular shaped Band-Aid.
The pads are non-stick and absorbent, and both the Knuckle and Finger Tip Band-Aids are made from stretchy fabric like material that makes wearing them more comfortable (at least as comfortable as wearing a bandage can be). They also stay on much better when they get wet. When I don't use these on my hands my bandages always come off during a shower.
Knuckles and finger tips are hard areas to bandage, but these special shaped first aid supplies make the job much easier.
