| jadzia66's Full Review: Band-Aid Ultra-Strips Adhesive Bandages 8 ea |
With 2 children and an accident prone husband, we always have a variety of band-aids and other first aid products in our home. Band-Aid Ultra-Strips Adhesive Bandages is one of the many different band-aids that makes its home in our medicine cabinet.
All About Band-Aid Ultra-Strips Adhesive Bandages
Band-Aid Ultra-Strips Adhesive Bandages are bigger than your average bandages. They measure 2 1/8" by 2 3/4" (or 5.5 cm by 7.0 cm) which probably explains why they only come in a package of 8. The back of the box says that these bandages mimic skin's natural surface for breathable protection, that they stretch to conform to skin's every contour so that they stay in place, even in water. The 4 sided seal provides more complete protection from dirt and germs. Band-Aid Ultra-Strips Adhesive Bandages are made by Johnson & Johnson and are sterile until they are opened.
This caution appears on the side of the box:
The packaging of the product contains natural rubber latex which may cause allergic reactions.
Why We Recommend Band-Aid Ultra-Strips Adhesive Bandages
I have to confess that the reason Band-Aid Ultra-Strips Adhesive Bandages were purchased were for me. I'm not accident prone by nature but I do have a mishap now and again. This time, our dog's metal tie out leash became wrapped around my ankle. Before I could get my leg free, he took off running which caused the metal leash to rub a few layers of skin off my ankle. Being the overworked mother that most of us are, I wiped it with some peroxide and just went on my merry way. A few days later, while shaving my legs, I noticed that the wound had become infected. So my husband ran to the store and picked up Band-Aid Ultra-Strips Adhesive Bandages. He picked these particular kind because of the size, which is larger than your average bandage.
I have found that the claims on the box are true, especially that they will stay put in water. They are also very comfortable bandages and I really forgot that I was wearing one. We got to use them again this week when my daughter fell on the playground at school. She either didn't tell anyone that she hurt her knee or the wound wasn't considered that bad because she came home without a bandage on it. I took care of it right away though and found that Band-Aid Ultra-Strips Adhesive Bandages fit over her skinned knee perfectly. It also stayed in place very well no matter how many times she flexed her knee.
All in all we have been impressed with these bandages and will continue to use them for the bigger boo-boos that are sure to happen around here,
