The Supertrain Megazord is another toy from the Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue line. Lightspeed Rescue was the last power rangers edition to appear on television before Timeforce came out.
Now that you are caught up with your power rangers history, let me tell you about this toy. You can have it in 2 different modes. There is the train mode and then there is the zord mode. What's a power ranger toy if it doesn't have 2 uses for it anyway?
The train consists of 5 cars. There is rail rescue car 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5. And each car is numbered. Each rail rescue car is a color of it's matching power ranger. Well actually the cars are black, but you can tell by the color if its stickers and designs, which power ranger it belongs to. For instance, car 1 has red stripes on it so you know it is supposed to be for the red power ranger, and car 4 has yellow on it, for the yellow ranger.
Each rail also has a compartment for the lightspeed rescue vehicles. The vehicles are sold separately! Each rail also has a locking mechanism so that each car can attach to each other and form a train. When all 5 cars are attached, the train is 50 inches long. Since there are no tracks to this train, my sons have had problems moving the train along the floor when all 5 cars are attached, so they usually just make up 2 trains consisting of 2 & 3 cars. This way they each have a train and both are happy.
You can readjust a few of the parts on each of the trains cars and make yourself a megazord. For instance, train # 3 is the body to the megazord, 1 & 2 are the arms and 4 & 5 are the legs. The megazord will stand 18 inches high once it's all complete. The megazord is a bit heavy when it's all put together. However, I have found that once it is put together, it usually doesn't have his arm or one of his legs falling off while my kids are playing with him. There are many toys out there, that when you attach it together, it seems to fall apart.
The supertrain megazord is not mechanical or battery operated, so no batteries are needed. It is all made up of heavy durable plastic that has stood up to some tough battles with 2 boys over the last 12 months.
With a price tag of $50.00 brand new, (or up to $200 on ebay) this toy is very expensive in my opinion, but my kids have always been big power ranger fans, so I knew the toy would get played with often and I have gotten my money's worth with the amount of time they have played with the train over the last year.
My gripe with this toy, as with all power ranger toys, is that the stickers do not come already attached. You must apply the stickers yourself. Also, no power ranger action figures come with this toy, but then again, even if they did, there really isn't a place to put them into the train, there is only room in the train for the rescue vehicles.
I would highly recommend the Supertrain Megazord for your power ranger fanatic. Since both my 3 1/2 year old and my 7 year old love this train, it can be suitable for the toddler power rangers.

A great addition the Lightspeed Rescue Dexluxe Supertrain Megazord would be the Lightspeed Rescue Morpher.
