| tiffer0220's Full Review: Bandai Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue Morpher |
Ok, so it's been a good 4 seasons since the series Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue has been out, but since that was my oldest sons favorite out of all the Power Ranger series, it just means I have a closet full of all the Lightspeed Rescue toys that came out. Forgive me for being so slow on writing about them all, but theres only so much of Power Rangers I can take before I just block it all out.
Ah, anyway, excuse the rant above. The Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue Morpher has been around a few years and is still played with today. It's amazing that after all these years, I've only had to replace the batteries (3 AAA) once.
The morpher itself is 4 inches long and 2 inches wide and stands about an inch high. The back of the morpher is flat so that it can sit on your wrist correctly and coming out from the sides towards the back are 2 plastic loops. The loops are for the black plastic wrist band. The wrist band has velcro on the ends so that it can be adjusted when putting it on the childs wrist. Since the wrist band does get removed, it can easily get lost. I haven't seen any of the morphers attached to their wristbands in quite some time now, but the morpher will still do its job.
On top of the morpher is the control center. Everything you need in order to morph and communicate is right there on top. There are 4 white plastic buttons, a lever, a secret area that will be revealed when the lever is pushed, and 2 red lights that will blink when you start pushing buttons. When you push the black lever in, a door that covers half of the top of the morpher will slide up and open. Under this door are plastic pieces to make it look like the inside of a computer or something and there is also a digital 1 inch screen.
The 4 buttons on the morpher each have a picture on them. One is picture of a power ranger, one is a lightning bolt, one is a megazord and the other has a C on it. When the power ranger button is pushed, the morpher starts to make sounds and the red lights will start blinking. When you have the door opened up, you will see a red power ranger blinking in the screen. If the door is shut, you will just see the red lights blinking.
When the megazord button is pushed, the morpher makes a different sound that starts out like a police siren and ends with a constant beeping noise. Again, if the door is opened and the screen is revealed, a green megazord picture will appear in the screen.
The lightning bolt button just makes yet another noise when pressed and makes the red lights blink on and off. Nothing appears in the screen when this button is pushed.
Each time you press one of the buttons, it will make constant noise for a good minute or so. The lightning bolt noises last longer for a minute and this is where that fourth button comes in handy. The last button is a red C and when you press that it makes it shut off. I love that C button!
I can't describe all of the noises that the morpher makes, but each button has its own sound. The speaker to the morpher is on the back so when it is on the childs wrist, the noises are not that loud. Its when the speaker is not up against anything that it can be loud.
Both of my boys really enjoy playing with the Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue Morpher and I am quite impressed that it has held up for so long.
I highly recommend the Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue Morpher for any power rangers lightspeed rescue fan. The only question is where to find it since the toys are now stocked with the Ninja Storm toys. Your best bet would be garage sales or even ebay if you can find it at a decent price.
This morpher would also go great with the Lightspeed Rescue Deluxe Supertrain Megazord!
