kbolton72's Full Review: Banzai Original Banzai Falls Water Slide
The heat of the summer sun. No school. An empty backyard calling for some kids to entertain. What do all of these things have in common? The BANZAI Original BANZAI FALLS Water Slide!!
This is a tad intrusive to what would ordinarily be a serene and peaceful backyard, but this avalanche will entertain your family and your neighbor's family and give you time to catch up on your correspondence! My mom had purchased this for my boys while we were still in Michigan and summer only lasted a few months.
This slide/obstacle course is much like a scaled down moonbounce house, and inflates within a few mere minutes of unfolding, and hooking it up to the connection that it comes with, which continuously blows air from the 12" blower motor into it. Of course, I let the guys hook it up at first and after watching them, it was easy for me to deflate and hook back up.
Sadly, it got ripped and we no longer have it, and left me with a feeling that it is too delicate for the average family of hucksters. For toddlers, maybe, but most kids that notice it in the store and want it, are too old or heavy to have it last. This is 18 and a half feet long, and your outdoor water hose attaches to it. You will want to find a solid, even, soft area close to your water hose, even though it has a soft bottom to land on, you don't want to place it in the driveway or anything.
It's not supposed to develop cracks on it's own, so a dog or cat might have gotten a hold of it, or it snagged on something during storage even in the carrying case it came with, not too sure. But I am very careful with things and I can't speak highly of it's durability and can't see advising anyone to spend big money on something this unstable.
It can also be wobbly if too many kids try to run up it at once. It is the same rule as a trampoline, one kid at a time. Never leave the kids unattended, this is water, there is water that collects, before it recirculates. It's full size after inflation is 228" Long X 60" wide X 120" tall.
It has a small arch at the top of the slide that doesn't leave much room for taller children, so keep an eye on them and make sure no one falls! The wall and rails have PVC coated 420D terylene for support and it is slippery on the slide and in the little pool thanks to PVC coated polyester. The climbing wall is pretty strong, I can vouch for that, and you want to make sure you fill up the water bags and place them within the mesh holdings at the bottom to keep the weight on. There are ground stakes, much like a tent to hold the bottom down and in place.
I think that if you want to have your family bounce and slide and want more than a pool with a slide, a slip and slide or a plain bounce house, than you should invest in this only knowing that it may not last. I wasn't happy with the outcome of mine, so I can only warn you.
