mom2emma's Full Review: Banzai Wild Waves Water Park
I do not know if they have changed this but when I bought it early in the summer there were NO dimensions on the box. That meant you had to guess by the picture. By the picture it looked as if 2 or 3 preschool aged children could play in it, maybe bigger. Almost as big s the plain rectangular one we were replacing. So, on my daughters insistance, we bought this one. The pool is not much bigger than half the size of the rectangular one we have.
I do see they have an updated version, probably do to complaints. The version we have, the slide is a large triangular type blow up that you put in the pool and tie to loops on the bottom of the pool. First this is very difficult to do. Next, especially once you add water to the pool, this is very unstable, Lastly, this takes up more than half the length of the pool. The newer ones, I have seen, the slide straddles the pool wall.
The sports area consists of a double arch that you inflate and attaches to the top of the pool wall by velcro. It has a ring toss and basketball hoop. Fully inflated this was really not stable enough to sit, as intended, very well. However, we had even bigger problems because ours came with a hole in it. The basketball that came with it was decent but the rings were so thin that once inflated we couldn't get the inflation stem to tuck inside them.
The packaging the toy came in said do not return to store, for product problems contact an 800 number. We tried the 800 number and contacting them through their website. Noone ever returned our messages. In the end we were only able to use it as a pool, a small kiddie pool. It was a size suitable for our 2 and 4 yr old and that's about it. Everything else that came with it was useless. We should have just returned it to the store. The plastic the pool is made of also feels thinner, flimsier than our Intex or even Wet Set products we have. The pool did not even last a summer. Despite vowing to never purchase Banzai products again we did purchase 2 Banzai slip and slides this year and had similiar experiences.
