Note: as with most of the items I review in this category the items are not NECESSARILY toys, games, game pieces, game boards, or items for use with game machines, or Software or office supplies per se, rather these are classroom type materials, designed by educators and intended for use with Early Childhood, as well as primary and older age Elementary students in a classroom or home school setting. Decorative pieces are frequently fine for use in High School settings as well.
This product is a paper border chart
----------------------------
Barker Creek™ and Lasting Lessons Educational Products Publishing Company Incorporated Red Dot Border Chart a handsome chart board measuring 17 X 22 inches presents possibilities for use in the office, cubical, classroom, and at home.
This good looking, eye catching border chart has a wide red band upon which white dots are sprinkled over it in a 2 X type pattern. Within the outer border is a dotted line forming the inner border surrounding the white center portion.
I find these handy charts add color to the display area where Osage County First Grade posts papers and art work to share with parents, family and peers.
These pretty charts can be used in vertical or horizontal stance, and will bring attention to 1 or 2 pieces of children’s work.
Generated of premium card stock papers crafted from carefully chosen raw materials selected to meet industry and governmental regulations regarding suitability for use in locations where young children can be expected to be. Charts are printed using risk-free, intensely hued child pleasing inks making them ideal for use as classroom posters, creating calendars, lists of High Frequency Words, and as backdrops for holding worksheets and artwork crafted by hardworking Osage County First Grader Little Workers.
As a rule, I laminate this type paper product to provide the sturdy card stock with even more heft, as well as to allow the chart to be used with an erasable marker if I choose to write on the white center portion.
I find these bordered charts are nifty for use to display children’s work, as well as for adding to the pinning boards stapled to the wall next to our classroom entry door. The pinning boards are used by Little Learners to post their various awards, certificates, incentive charts and the like.
I find use of eye catching chart boards add a real show case to the pinning board as Little Learners earn Reader of the Month, Student of the Week and Student of the Month certificates or other especially noteworthy awards. All awards are important, however, Student of the Week is far more noteworthy than are incentive charts.
Showcasing those Student of the Week and similar certificates inspires Osage County First Grade to strive toward also receiving a certificate and the backdrop upon which to display their award.
Little Learner artwork and work sheets are exhibited in the hallway outside our classroom. The laminated chart boards add importance to items we post in the hallway. Each Little Learner has one, too many chart boards diminishes the impact of the chart. However, Little Learners can decide what they want to showcase for hallway display. While one student may want to showcase his/her numeral writing skill while his/her classmate may prefer to showcase a set of words all having ar as a component and a third may prefer to showcase penmanship.
I find these diminutive sized charts are simple to use and store than are larger poster sized charts. I do not use many really massive poster sized charts; I have no place to store them. Smaller chart sized pieces fit Osage County First Grade needs.
