This is one of the first games that my little girl could understand well enough to follow the rules.
I wanted to play games with her to teach her about rules and waiting your turn etc. But even such a simple game as candyland was over her head at 2 1/2.
In this game you choose a colored card (durable plastic)which has 3 farm animals pictured on it. You then in turn flip a lever which releases a bingo chip which is red, blue green or yellow and pictures a farm animal.
Here is where you choose the level of play. you can either match the color AND the animal to those on your card or you can just match the animal regardless of the color. When she was first playing, we let her match either color or animal. The first one to match all 3 wins.
She'll play this game until I am tired of playing. She loves flipping open the release for the chips and is so proud when she makes a match. It may not hold up for older children, but that's not what I bought it for.
