I know that I must wash my hands at least ten to fifteen times a day. Seriously, between diapers, cleaning, cooking, it's no wonder my hands are constantly under running water. It doesn't help that I'm a total germ freak either! With my hands under so much water they tend to dry out very easily which results in nasty cracking and chapping. I've been looking for the perfect moisturizing hand soap for and didn't find it in many of the regular store brands. Not too long ago I went into Bath & Body Works and came across their line of Anti-Bacterial Hand Soaps. At last I had found the perfect hand cleansing solution!
~*~Cost~*~
I purchased three 8 FL OZ bottles of Bath & Body Works Anti-Bacterial Hand Soap at the great price of 3 for $10.00. Bath & Body Works is always having great deals on these soaps. Normally they run around $4.99/$5.00. You can also purchase the refills which I believe are around $8.00.
~*~Some Details~*~
There are actually four different types of Bath & Body Works Anti-Bacterial Hand Soap; Moisturizing, Deep Cleansing, Kids Foaming and the newer Gentle Foaming. As with all Bath & Body Works products, these soaps come in an array of absolutely wonderful fragrances. Some examples are Country Apple, Pearberry, Kitchen Lemon, Sun Ripened Raspberry, Warm Vanilla Sugar and so many more.
The Moisturizing line contains Green Tea Extract and Shea Butter plus germ fighting ingredients to leave hands soft, smooth and germ free. The Deep Cleansing contains gentle exfoliating beads plus germ fighting ingredients to get hands deep clean but smooth. Both the Moisturizing and Deep Cleansing come in your standard pump dispensers. They have the fragrance clearly labeled and the soap themselves are usually colored in coordination with the scent.
The Kids Foaming comes in a short fat bottle with the chunky foam dispenser. This too comes in an array of great fragrances. It has all the tough germ fighting ingredients but it's gentle on those tiny hands. The Gentle Foaming is actually fairly new to the Bath & Body Works Anti-Bacterial Hand Soap line. It is a larger size (8.75 OZ) and comes in a fatter, taller bottle. The dispenser is the chunky foam dispenser. No need to try and lather it up, it comes out as a big ball of foam! It contains Aloe Vera and Vitamin B5 to create a great combination of germ fighting power and soothing ingredients.
The Active Ingredient in these hands soaps is Triclosan 0.3% which is used as an antiseptic.
~*~My Experience~*~
I actually purchased three bottles at the Bath & Body Works store and then three online at Ebay. This was a little over a month ago. Just to prove how much we wash our hands here, we only have two of those six bottles left! I purchased one of each type, including the Kids Foaming. We have been extremely happy with all of them.
While Bath & Body Works has created a moisturizing version of this soap, I have found that all of them leave my hands very soft and smooth. My husband has even been impressed with how clean and soft his hands feel. He too washes his hands on a constant basis, so, maybe I'm not the only nut in our family!
I have found that the Gentle Foaming lasts longer than the other versions of the Bath & Body Works Anti-Bacterial Hand Soap. It only takes one small puff of foam to thoroughly cleanse my hands. All of these soaps provide a wonderfully thick, rich lather. They rinse clean leaving nothing but softness and a terrific scent behind. My hands no longer get that dry, cracked and chapped feeling.
Speaking of the scents, if you love Bath & Body Works scents then you will definitely love these soaps. The moment you dispense some of the soap you can smell them! They smell heavenly. I chose the Country Apple, Pearberry and Kitchen Lemon and they all smell terrific. The scent really lingers on my hands too. These are probably the best smelling soaps we have ever used.
The Kids Foaming has been extremely gentle on both of my children's hands. They love the foaming action. It makes them want to wash their hands as much as I'll allow them to! The scent we chose was Apple and it too smells wonderful and really lingers on their hands.
We have not experienced any skin irritations when using these products!
~*~Overall Recommendation~*~
Would I recommend Bath & Body Works Anti-Bacterial Hand Soap? Absolutely! These are the best anti-bacterial soaps I have come across and I'll definitely be purchasing more. They leave your hands feeling soft, smooth and clean with an awesome scent!
