We had a couple for houseguests for Christmas of either 1976 or 1977, and, in the downstairs bathroom, we had regular bars of soap (this was before liquid soap) and also had these little barlets of guest soap that looked like yellow roses on the top of the toilet tank.

The latter, while also usable, we mostly had in there for decoration.

Maurice went in there to use the bathroom and came out of there in a little bit laughing while telling us that he'd just made a mistake.

He thought that those yellow roses were candy and had taken one to eat!

As Forrest Gump is known for saying, "Life is like a box of chocolates. . ." where he then explains that you don't know if you'll like what's inside until you bite into it.

I doubt if Maurice was craving any other pieces of bathroom candy after that!

Only thing worse would be mistaking something else in that general area for a Tootsie Roll!!!

Cheers!

Um, the only time I had soap in my mouth was when I used foul language in front of my mother. I'd rather shop the candy aisle for snacking....

This review makes me want to spend a few days in a motel room with a walk-in/roll-in shower, taking not much more with me than my foot-massage tub, some good books, some munchies, and all kinds of creamy, scented soap, shampoo, etc.!!!

Some of those soaps actually sounded good enough to eat--even though I've only actually come across one or two body-soaps that actually ARE good enough to eat!

But I haven't eaten any in awhile, but I know that one of them was Neutrogena.

I, too, love to smell fancy soap!!!

Warm Fuzzies!
