| ms_pookie's Full Review: Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Jasmine Vanilla Vol... |
I love it when Bath & Body Works has their Semi-Annual Sale. During the last sale, I picked up tons of travel sized goodies at 75% off of the original price. I saw a few of their Aromatherapy Jasmine Vanilla Volumizing Shampoos in the travel-size, so I made sure to pick a few up. Who could resist at $ 0.88 a piece?
The Product

My Experience
Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Jasmine Vanilla Volumizing Shampoo smells wonderful! What I love about this shampoo is that the scent lingers for a long while. I take my evening showers and wash my hair (daily) and after I dry it, I can still smell the jasmine and vanilla. When I go to sleep a few hours later, the scent is still lingering in my hair, albeit a little tapered down.
The shampoo is an almost clear (with a hint of yellow tint) shampoo that has a good shampoo consistency and viscosity. It dispenses out easily and lathers up quickly. Rinsing the shampoo out is not a problem. As an aside, my scalp tends to be on the oily side and my hair is straight and flat. There is very little umph in my hair, so I figured the volumizing shampoo could give my hair a boost. I dry my hair with a blow dryer to ensure that Im not sleeping with wet hair. After I dry my hair, I took a look
there was no difference in terms of volume. There was no added volumizing umph to my hair. Now perhaps it is because my hair is not thin hair, like the bottle had suggested. I can say, however, that my hair felt clean but not completely residue-free. My hair felt a little weighed down by the shampoo. Perhaps the weighed down feeling is due to the lingering fragrance? Im not sure. The oh-so-slight heaviness is not annoying enough for me to throw away the bottle (and the three others I purchased) because it is very, very slight. My hair did have a healthy (not greasy) shine to it after every use of the shampoo and my hair smelled wonderful!
If youve been eyeing Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Jasmine Vanilla Volumizing Shampoo, I would definitely try the travel-size shampoo prior to purchasing the full-size bottle to see if the shampoo will work with your hair.
