Pros: Moisturizing aloe vera
Cons: bottle has little bumps
Early in July I was strolling around a mall, Paseo Colorado trying to pass the time while my kids were in camp. While waiting for Macys to open I came upon the Bath & Body Works store and lucked out that they were already open for business. A sign near the entrance stated they had many products on sale and I found a few areas marked with buy one get one free so I tried many scents on while perusing the ingredients listing to make sure lanolin was not included.
Immediately I found the White Ginger & Amber Body Splash and utilized the tester on my skin. This scent is like no other I have encountered and I really liked it. I searched the area for another item so I can take advantage of the buy one get one free offer, but the other scents were not as appealing and I chose not to get the same scent in the hand lotion.
I spritzed myself a few times with the White Ginger & Amber Body Splash before leaving the store and heading to Macys. I could not find any Elizabeth Arden counter at the store, but did try a tester bottle of the Jennifer Lopez cologne. That stuff was nasty! Luckily the counters were near the exit of the store and I headed straight for the Bath & Body Works. The clerk thought I was still in there from before and I told her what I had just tried on at the department store.
The clerk did explain to me that I could buy from several sections to complete my buy one get one free deal, so I decided on Flowering Herbs Body Lotion. Since the White Ginger & Amber Body Splash costs $10.00 I paid the $11.50 for the body lotion and got a great deal. While chatting with the clerk as I wrote a check I learned that there is a part time clerk that works there who has two autistic children.
During the month that I have had the White Ginger & Amber Body Splash by Bath & Body Works I have used one fourth of the plastic bottle. The color of the spray is a light golden shade, and it lasts for several hours and even during the humid conditions we have experienced this summer in Southern California. The bottle is 8 fluid ounces with a snap on cap covering the spray nozzle. The other cap is easy to unscrew if you need to for some reason and should be kept away from flammables, high heat and children.
The scent really lured me back to make the purchase since I was enjoying it while looking around at Macys. The difficult aspect was trying to find a second product for the special price. The bottle cap and twist off ring are the same shade as the White Ginger & Amber Body Splash. I noticed each scent has matching bottles as well. The scent is light, crisp and within twenty seconds it dissolves into the skin, nourishing and moisturizing with the added benefit of aloe vera. My son has even commented that I smell nice.
This is perfect to use after bathing/showering and one last spritz before heading out the door. The combination of White Ginger and Amber is very enticing and appealing. I use this for my arms, legs and shoulders. The logo on the bottle states, FRESH FROM AMERICAS HEARTLAND?. Bath & Body Works Body Splash is not tested on animals. Besides the aloe vera, white ginger and amber this spray also contains Alcohol denat, Water, fragrance, Propylene glycol along with blue, brown and red dyes.
I can tell by the amount I have used this past month that this bottle will last roughly 3-4 months, a good bargain for the amount paid at Bath & Body Works. The bottle is a convenient size, but the one negative I would say is the bubbles forming on the outside of the bottle at the top. Since this was my first purchase with this brand I am not sure if this is common, but it looks like as the spray moves lower in the bottle the bubbles continue to form at that spot. I find them irritating to my skin, plus with my eczema break-outs on my hands it bothers me more. Maybe this is a visual way for customers to know when the contents are running low, not sure but not a plus for me.
