I have always seen Bath and Body Works holiday scents during Christmas time the past few years but never bothered to try any. I had plenty of the "year-round" scents from Bath and Body Works as it was.
So why did I decide to try Moisture-Rich Body Lotion in the delicious Winter Candy Apple Scent? Well I was shopping one evening a few weeks ago with my best friend. We love Bath and Body Works and saw they already had their Christmas displays up in store. It was hard for us to be in the Christmas spirit when it was still almost 80 degrees outside but oh well, we looked anyway. I remember I had a coupon for a free product under $12.50 with a purchase over $10. So after sampling a few of the holiday scents I decided on a bottle of lotion and a bottle of body spray both in the scent of Winter Candy Apple.
About the Product
Moisture Rich Body Lotion comes in a 10 oz. tall plastic bottle with a silver push top cap. The top of the bottle has hand grips on both sides. Since this bottle is a special edition holiday collection bottle, I am not 100 percent sure that other Moisture Rich Body Lotions have the same type of packaging.
The lotion retails for $10.50. With my coupon I got a lotion and a body spray for $10.50 plus tax so I was very pleased with the price. Without a coupon I still think this is a good price because the amount of lotion you get will surely last you throughout the Christmas season.
My Experience
We smelled several of the holiday scents. The ones I tried that I liked the best were Very Merry Cranberry, Vanilla Bean Noel, and of course Winter Candy Apple.
The scent of the lotion smells just like a delicious caramel-apple dip. The back of the bottle describes the lotion's scent as:
"Crisp apple, sweet orange and pineapple mingle with cinnamon spice in this joyous holiday scent."
I could not really smell the orange or pineapple, but I definitely smell the apple and little spiciness of the cinnamon.
The lotion dispenses very easily and is not runny at all. After I begin rubbing it into my skin it starts to feel kind of thin. It absorbs very fast.
My skin does stay soft for a good part of the day but I always have to reapply after several hours. Even if I did not need to I would probably still choose to because the smell is so great!
Final Thoughts
Moisture Rich Body Lotion in Winter Candy Apple is a wonderful scent. The price is very reasonable for the generous amount. I have had my bottle of lotion for almost a month and after daily use I have barely made a dent in it! I think these lotions in the special holiday scents would make great gifts for any girl because what girl does not love Bath and Body Works?!
