Taken Back In Time!!! (Reply to this comment)
by AinsleyJo
I have an angel of a friend (now in Heaven--but going there sooner than she should have) who was, IMO, given the short end of the stick over and over again when it came to her health care.
In short, she went blind unnecessarily; she suffered a stroke unnecessarily; and she died unnecessarily. Nothing to do with diabetes. As far as anyone knows, Brenda didn't have diabetes.
One more thing, she got fat unnecessarily due to being given cortisome that she didn't need.
Now that I've had my rant about Brenda, I want to tell you how this piece took me back.
Brenda and her husband, Scott, were into buying and selling House of Lloyd products, and they were always hosting these wonderful demo parties at their place.
They were a couple who really knew how to entertain, and they always had delicious food--one such item being this caramel sauce that they would buy at the store. Then, they would cut up apples so you could dip them into the sauce.
When I read this review, I both got hungry and then started going back in memory to their House of Lloyd parties where they had every inch of their home looking like Christmas, and there were all of these cute, little kids running around (their grandkids and other people's kids).
After the first such party I attended, Scott went out to coach some kids on a soccer team, and Brenda and I went to this near-by cafeteria called Gillen's Family Line to eat (after all, what we had at the party was just like refreshments, and we needed a full dinner to keep from starving to death! Ha-Ha!!!).
Then, we drove around looking at the Christmas lights. Brenda knew that this would be the last Christmas she would be seeing the lights, as she was quickly going blind.
By the following year, she could make out light patterns and some colors, but that was about it. But she was just happy knowing that the lights were up and people were enjoying how beautiful everything was.
Anyway, this is turning into a story, so I'm going to take it over to my place and continue it...

I'll go for the candy apple scent. I just love Bath & Body Works merchandise.
Thanks much for a helpful review.
My best,
