Pros: Exotic coconut smell, scent lasts for hours, lots of compliments
Cons: Can only be bought On-line
Bath & Body Works describes their Exotic Coconut as, "Toasted coconut folded into sweet cream." Well, I don't smell the cream but I do smell the coconut and it's wonderful. I love their Forever Sunshine collection but I think the Exotic Coconut has became my favorite and I've bought in bulk.
My daughter introduced me to the Pleasures Collection of Exotic Coconut on my recent visit and as soon as I returned home, I ordered several bottles On-line. It can't be purchased in their brick and mortar store and has to be purchased On-line which irritated me. I wanted instant gratification but had to wait for home delivery. Each 8 oz bottle cost $10.50 but when they're having a sale, you can buy 3 and get 3 free. This is the best way to buy and with extra bottles, you can give them as gifts.
I was wearing her Exotic Coconut every day and getting quite a few compliments on it. Now that I have several bottles at my house, I spray it everywhere. Even on my bedclothes, gown and day clothes. The coconut smell is rather alluring, sensuous and quite enjoyable. I could come up with many luscious adjectives to describe Bath & Body Works Exotic Coconut but I'll limit myself to one - captivating.
Once your nose gets a whiff, you're a gonner.
You have to love coconut to begin with - the taste and the smell. Think of being at the beach and smelling the various bottles of sunscreen people have lathered on their bodies. It's not as strong though but it's the feeling of being in sunshine and covered in lotion. A couple of spritz is all you need and the smell lasts and lasts. It's faint and makes people want to get closer so they can sniff what you're wearing. If you over-do the spritz, there's no need for them to get close as they know what you're wearing.
There are many body splashes that smell horrible on me. I was once told it was the enzymes in my body but who knows? Forever Sunshine and Exotic Coconut don't fight with my body's natural odor. They blend well together and I feel rather feminine.
I can go overboard on the sprays but really, you only need a few pumps and they'll last you all day. Spray it in the air and then step under the spray letting it land in your hair if you want that extra oomph. You'll get an additional whiff when combing your hair and I like that.
Ingredients (from back of bottle):
Alcohol Denat, Water (Aqua Eau), Fragrance (Parfum), Propylene Glycol, Butyl Methosydibenzoylmethane, Ethylhexyl, Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Benyl Alcohol, Coumarin, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cycloexene Carboxaldehyde, Linalool, Yellow 5 (CI 19140), Red 33 (CI 17200)
Exotic Coconut is refreshing with the pampering ingredient of conditioning aloe vera. It's a clear liquid in a pump bottle so you can tell when you bottle starts to get low. Exotic Coconut has alcohol in it and if you spray over a cut or scratch, it will burn. I speak from experience.
Overall, it's a great body splash and one I highly recommend.
