Pros: The line reducing and line prevention serums I bought along with this product...
Cons: Price, smell, bottle, doesn't do what it claims...
The Bottom Line: Check out the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Anti-Blemish Cleanser instead!

| Tigerlily137's Full Review: Bath & Body Works Pure Simplicity Rice Skin Balanc... |
This is a definite first for me
Im using a bath product after seeing great results when my husband used it first! Well, almost
he uses a very similar product; one for oily skin, while the one Im using is for normal skin. I bought the Rice Skin-Balancing Face Wash from the line of Pure Simplicity products at Bath and Body Works.. At only 2 oz it came in a small trial-sized set that also included a skin balancing face lotion, a white tea line prevention serum, and an everlasting flower line reducing serum The last two are the main reason I bought the set (after using up the same products from my husbands set! LOL)
One complaint is that the bottle of my product is different than the Oat formula, and its not for the better! The Rice Formula is a plastic bottle (that looks like glass) with a screw top lid, but there is no pour control! If youre not very careful, youll end up with enough face wash to wash your whole body! The Oat Formula is in a nice little bottle that sits on its lid (very important!) and squeezes out! WTH?? Why is mine different? I demand equal opportunity!!
~~~Directions~~~~(From bottle)
Wet hands and face with warm water. Pour face wash into hands and form lather. Gently massage onto face and rinse thoroughly.
Pretty easy and direct stuff here.
~~~Purpose Of This Face Wash~~~
The sales lady at Bath and Body Works described this product as a face wash for people with normal skin, or combination skin, and said that it would detect and even out the dry and oily areas of your face.
~~~My Experience~~~
After discovering that there is no pour control and getting a handful of face wash in my hand, I lather my face up. The first thing I notice is the overwhelming scent. It smells like Dollar Store perfume that a mother gives her little girl to play dress up with! Its not good, and its very strong. However, it doesnt stick to your skin, and after a few moments you cant notice it anymore. It does lather up very well, feels pretty creamy to the touch, and rinses clean. I have pretty normal skin, with a dry patch or oily patch that flares up every now and then, so I expected no problems from this face wash. I was disappointed to find that my skin was left pretty dry after getting out of the shower and drying off. Pairing this product with the accompanying lotion helps a little with the moisture, but still leaves the sides of my nose flaky looking.
~~~Overall~~~
Im not sure what kind of Ingredients, this product has, because my Face Wash set didnt include that information, although Im sure its available if you buy this product in full size. It didnt do anything spectacular to my skin, and the smell is horrible, so therefore I cant really recommend this product to anyone. If you have oily skin, the Oat formula worked really well for my husband. Otherwise, for others with normal skin, check out the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Anti-Blemish Cleanser instead! I bought this trial sized set for $15.00.
