| 42ENGLISH's Full Review: Bath & Body Works Skin Therapy Skin Renewal Body W... |
I am a big fan of exfoliation. When I saw these skin renewing body washes at Bath and Body Works, I grabbed a couple. I will try any exfoliator. I use them daily and go through plenty of them. I also like Bath and Body Works products so this was a plus for me. At $9.99 each I bought Bath and Body Works Skin Renewal Body Wash in both the Sweet Pea and the Cotton Blossom which are both fresh scents.
Ingredients:
Water, Cocamide MEA, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Oxydized Polyethylene, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Hydrogenated Jojoba Oil, Cocamide MIPA, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Lauroyl Oat Amino Acids, Decyl Glucoside, Fragrance (parfum), Butylene Glycol, Lacto bacillus/Carica Papaya Fruit Ferment Extract, Viola Odorata (Sweet Violet) Extract, Macadamia Integrefolia Seed Oil, Helianthus Annuus, Sunflower Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Juglans Regia (Walnut) Shell Powder, Coconut Acid, Glycerin, Sodium Cocate, Disodium EDTA, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, BHT, Phenoxyethanol, Mica (CI 77019), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891).
Naturally Beneficial Ingredients:
Exfoliating Papaya Extract, Walnut Shells and Jojoba Beads, Nourishing Macadamia, Sunflower and Jojoba Oils, Real Sweet Violet Extract.
This product comes in a 7 fl oz white, plastic tube with a convenient flip-top cap. The product is whit and creamy with gritty exfoliators and jojoba balls. The Sweet Pea is a fresh blossomy scent and the Cotton Blossom has an earthy but soapy scent.
Bath and Body Works Claim:
Rediscover skin that looks and feels healthy and younger-looking. This advanced anti-aging cleanser with three natural exfoliators is clinically proven to help reveal more beautiful skin every time you wash. Used regularly, the nourishing formula helps improve skins tone and texture, and renews its natural vitality.
My Experience:
Before washing, I exfoliate. After I have wet my body down in the shower, I apply this exfoliator, about a quarter size twice to cover the whole body. Although it is a body wash, I dont think it foams enough to both exfoliate and wash. However, with its walnut shell and jojoba balls, this product exfoliates really well and leaves the skin refreshed, soft and smooth. The product has a moisturizing oils which soften as it scrubs. I love the feeling of my skin after using this product. It is a superior exfoliator and does its job well leaving a lingering scent. The flat, flip-top cap allows it to be placed easily on a shelf in your shower/tub and dispensing is also easy.
Conclusion:
Bath and Body Works Skin Renewal Body Wash really gives you a good scrub down. It is accompanied by natural seed oils which really soften skin well. I dont think it is a very good body wash and I always follow up with a separate body wash to get rid of the exfoliators on my skin. All of the scents are fresh smelling in this line. The price is regular for Bath and Body Works, a little higher than most but it is superior in quality. I feel really clean and refreshed when I come out of the shower after using this product. It definitely does its job as an exfoliator.
