I have to agree with Andrew (Go For The Generic, Save Your Money by nursefriendly) when it comes to Generic Brands of Aspirin being as effective as Bayer® or other Name Brands.
Having said that, I am going to direct my review to the product and not debate the benefit of Generic over Name Brands.
Aspirin Regimen Bayer® Adult Low Strength tablets can be bought at any store that sell over-the-counter drugs.
I buy mine at Wal-Mart. 150 tablets cost me $5.95.
At the age of 62 I had a heart attack. I did not believe that this would happen to me. But it did. At the time I had my heart attack, I was taking 1 low strength Bayer® Aspirin a day which contains 81mg per tablet.
Since my heart attack, I am taking 2 tablets a day as my doctor recommended I take a larger dosage.
Other Ingredients found in Bayer®:
Croscarmellose Sodium
D&C Yellow #10
FD&C Yellow #6
Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose
Iron Oxides
Lactose
Methacrylic Acid
Microcrystalline Cellulose
Polysorbate 80
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate
Starch
Titanium Dioxide
Triacetin
Bayer® Low Strength Aspirin Regimen is most often prescribed for people in need of either preventive therapy, or maintenance therapy in the case of heart attacks or strokes.
Why?
A cause of Heart Attack and Strokes is the formation of blood clots which can block arteries in the heart or the brain.
Aspirin works as a blood thinner that can help to prevent blood from forming clots.
In my case, it did not protect me from having a heart attack, but it may have played a part in keeping me alive. There are many other factors that contribute to one having a heart attack or stroke. Lifestyle can play a large part in a persons susceptibility to strokes and heart attacks as does family history.
As with all over-the-counter medications there can be side effects and it is not recommended for everyone.
Children and Teenagers should not use it for chicken pox or flu symptoms before a doctor is consulted about Raye's syndrome.
Do not take if you have the following:
1. Are allergic to aspirin
2. Have asthma or stomach problems
4. gastric ulcers
3. bleeding problems
without first consulting a doctor or health care provider.
If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks a day consult your doctor before taking aspirin.
Bayer® Low Strength Aspirin Regimen tablets will not provide fast relief for headaches, fever, or other symptoms that need immediate relief because of its delayed action.

Bayer® Aspirin has been around for almost 100 years. Consumers have relied on it as a highly effective pain reliever.
In the last 15 years aspirin has emerged as a 'wonder drug' because of its many lifesaving uses.
Did you know?
The ancient Romans used the willow bark as a fever fighter. It contains a substance called silicin, a naturally occurring compound similar to acetylsalicylic acid, the chemical name for aspirin.
In 1897, German chemist, Felix Hoffmann, chemically synthesizes a stable form of salicin that relieves his father's rheumatism.
It wasn't until 1948 that a Dr. Lawrence Craven, a general practitioner, discovered that aspirin might help prevent heart attacks. 400 men he had prescribed aspirin to didn't suffer any heart attacks.
Bayer® Aspirin tablets went to the moon with the Apollo astronauts in 1969. Aspirin was effective in combating headaches and muscle pains which resulted from long periods of immobility.

In Conclusion:
It is good to remember that though Aspirin may minimize the chance of you having a heart attack or stroke there are many other lifestyle and genetic factors that can put you at risk.
