Earlier this year, I discovered what my back pain was all about. My Chiropractor had me in for an MRI of my spine and discovered that I had a herniated disc, and another on the way to being so. He decided to send me to a pain management doctor, who of course gave me prescription medication to take care of the pain and discomfort I was living with everyday.
He said I could go back to my regular activities within a few months, after I had a series of steroid injections. So into my shed went my road bike, my running shoes, and my rowing oars. I was dejected, especially after he told me the injections would be done over the course of 6 weeks. Well, I had the injections done and I still was not any better. So now I have resigned myself to the fact that I will be taking pain pills for a while longer, especially after a long day.
With my other health issues, I was not happy to add another prescription to my medicine cabinet for the long haul. So I was ecstatic when I discovered Bayer Extra Strength Back & Body Pain in a drugstore circular. I immediately headed out to buy it after receiving a $1.00 off coupon that same day in my newspaper.
The particular box that I bought came with 50 coated caplets and stated that the product would safely relieve tough pain. This product can be used for back pain, arthritis pain, and muscle and joint pain. Bayer Extra Strength Back & Body Pain comes in a white plastic medicine bottle with a childproof twist-off cap. Upon purchasing, you should only use this product if seal under bottle cap is intact. The expiration date is clearly imprinted on the box flap.

As always, there are numerous health warnings associated with any over-the-counter drug product. If you consume more than 3 alcoholic drinks per day, are pregnant or breast-feeding, are allergic to aspirin, or have other stomach problems, please consult a doctor before using Bayer Extra Strength Back & Body Pain. Please keep this and all other medications out of reach of young children.
~*~ My Thoughts ~*~
I have to say that I was deeply disappointed with this Bayer Extra Strength Back & Body Pain product. Normally, I have no complaints about Bayer products, but this one made me not happy at all. I understand that using this product was a shot in the dark for me because of my back condition, but I was at least expecting some kind of relief. I got none whatsoever.
Actually, I shouldnt say that. Back relief? I got none. Body aches and joint aches from running and biking, I did experience some relief after taking this. But that was not the intent in using this product. Yes, I will continue to use this product for joint associated pains, thus recommending it for that. But I cannot count on it to relieve my back pain.
This Bayer Extra Strength Back & Body Pain product can also be purchased at Drugstore.com, CVS.com, Eckerd, and Walgreens drugstores. I recommend finding this Bayer on sale because otherwise you can be paying anywhere from $5-7 for a package of 50 coated caplets. I bought this product at Walgreens on sale for $4.99 and I had a $1 off coupon.
The bottle is childproof, so keeping this medicine around younger children should be no problem, but you should make sure it is out of their reach anyway. The bottle itself is actually easy to get into compared to some other childproof caps.
Ill keep this bottle around and use it for after strenuous exercising that I do but am not supposed to. But I dont see recommending this for any major back pain. Though if you have minor aches and pains, than I would go ahead and find this product somewhere (on sale).
