Bayliner 175 Family Fun Pack, A Great Deal

We used to own a Boston Whaler 150 which was a great boat. Problem was, when we wanted to go up in size, the Whaler line was just too expensive. So, for half the price of a Whaler 17' Montauk, I got a 17.5' Bayliner with the Family Fun Pack (made by the same company who makes Whaler - Brunswick). Granted, the Bayliner doesn't have the same overall quality as the Whaler, it has more room, more features and is really a better option for our young children. It has a 135hp Merc I/O which will get it to around 45mph. There are a lot of seats; 8 in all. The waterproof stereo has a plug for our iPod. There are a lot of storage areas too. I got a galvanized trailer for no additional cost which is great since I plan to use the boat in the ocean occasionally. The boat has full gauges and a bimini top. While the trade off is carpet covered plywood floors, you get a lot of boat with a ton of features that will be more than enough if you want a family boat. Also, it is pretty light (2,400lbs with trailer) which helps if you need to trailer it a lot.
