| pdecook's Full Review: Bazooka EL1208 Car Speaker |
The El series speaker by bazooka is a great choice for the average audio system.
I previously owned 2 Polk subs powered by a 650 watt bazooka amp, factory installed. I bought these for my car because they were fairly inexpensive and were at the time on sale. Within 6 months, i had blown both of these subs, even though they were not abused.
The "speaker guy" at circuit city recommeded to me the EL series speaker, saying they were the best he had. They run around $120 per 10" sub (12" also available).
These subwoofers kept their promise. I have owned them for over a year now, abuse them regularly, and they sound great. The difference between these and the Polks is extroardinary. They have a much crisper sound, and hit alot harder.
Another great idea from Bazooka- these subs are capable of being hooked up to your car's radiator with the "Chil Kit", which cools them off and increases their power handling capabilities by 50%.
I highly recommend these subwoofers to anyone interested in quality sound and dependibility.
