More Information
Bazooka created EL (Elevated Listening) series amplifiers to be eye-catching, ear-pleasing solutions to your car audio needs. The EL260 amplifier packs performance-driven MOSFET power (70 watts RMS x 2) and useful features into a compact, sharp-looking package.
To start off this review I bought this amp package with 2 10's (Bazooka El1004 subs). I paid $199 which now that im looking at it wasn't that great of a deal but for my first set of subs I can't complain. I was not about to put well over $400 in my car and well this was the cheapest package I could find.
Anyway I'd have to say I'm disappointed with the preformance of this AMP in this package...
Specification Bazooka 10" 275-Watt Subwoofer
"Hear what all the fuss is about. Add a Bazooka 10" subwoofer to your system and hear depth in your music that full-range speakers cant even approach. Able to handle 180 watts RMS, and 275 watts peak power (375 watts with Bazooka's optional liquid cooling system), this sub combines high output and low distortion for sound your music deserves"
Obviously if the RMS level of the sub at the high end is 175 watts then this thing does not even come close to putting enough juice into these speakers. I do have the amp turned all the way up and the filter set to low. The el1004 subs were one of the cheaper you can buy so I cant imagine their being a Sub the AMP el260 can full power to its limits.
So basically as I said spend the extra money to really get out what your putting into your trunk. The only reason I know my subs are not hitting hard enough is I can still see fine out of my back window 90% of the time. My friends set of subs will rattle the car no matter what type of song so obviously his amp is doing the job right.
