| ImAmes's Full Review: Bear in the Big Blue House Plush |
Before my daughter's last surgery, my husband and I took a trip to the Mall to check out the Disney Store I used to work at. Emily has gotten to love the Bear in the Big Blue House T.V. Series, that we wanted to get her something she could grab a hold of for comfort when she would come out of surgery.
The Disney Store had a HUGE Bear plush that cost $99.00, and the size of a teen-ager- way to big for Em- she would get lost hugging this one! Then my old Manager saw me and suggested the next size down Bear in the Big Blue House Plush which cost $44.00. I looked at my husband and thought, is a plush toy worth this much money? Because of our large medical bills and the cost of gas back and forth to Madison, we decided against it UNTIL my Manager said that they he was 40% off! I was beside myself with excitement, and then was doubly excited when they told me that I could also use my 20% coupon I had found inside my Book of Pooh Video- awesome! So I saved 60% on this large Bear in the Big Blue House Plush and got him, with tax, $20.14.
Because I did use to work at the Disney Store, I didn't need to question the safety of the plush animal as I do at other establishments. I know that Bear's nose is a soft blue leather that is sewn on tight and perfect for baby kisses. I know that his small black beady eyes are attached tightly so that baby won't choke on them. His soft fuzzy brown fur is attached securely, which means that if Emily tugs on him, she shouldn't come away with a hand full of Bears's hair in her hand. His little tummy is also very soft and is made of yellow fur. Bear is held together my thread sewn down the center of his body, which the seams are hidden well so that baby won't find them and pull them apart.
The Bear in the Big Blue House Plush has soft furry brown paws to stroke baby's soft face, and his blue padded feet are visible when he is sitting up, ready to play.
The size we bought is the second largest Bear in the Big Blue House Plush Animal provided at the Disney Store, and is almost the same size as our almost 15 month old baby Emily. This size worked out GREAT for us, but there is a bigger one and smaller one if this one does not interest you.
My husband brought Bear into our living room the next day right before Emily got up. He changed her, and then sat her down right in front of it. She screamed "Bear!" and crawled right on over to him and gave him a HUGE giant Bear hug- an adorable moment to say the least!
Bear came with us to Emily's latest trip to Madison, and sat in his seatbelt next to her all the way there. She would lean over and kiss his nose now and then, almost to say, "Everything is o.k., as long as you are here Bear."
Most of the Bear in the Big Blue House Plush is 40% off right now at your local Disney Store, including Pip and Pop, Ojo, and Treelo.
I highly recommend the Bear in the Big Blue House Plush, of any size, I guarantee smiles all around!
