| arbiter's Full Review: Beast Wars - Terrorsaur |
The Transmetal version of Terrorsaur never made it to the TV show but he was still a great toy. For any of you who didn't manage to pick him up you've got a second chance. Teranotron is the Beast Machines repaint of Terrorsaur and he rocks.
Terranotron has a similar coloured brown plastic to Terrorsaur used for his legs and much of his underbody. The more predominant areas though, are quite different. The arms and beast head are grey/bone colour and he has a red beak and claws. The areas that were metalic paint on terorsaur are now metalic red. Teranotron has yellow eyesin both modes and the robot face is still red. the sides of his body fade into yellow form the metalic red. It may sound gaudy but it's actually really cool looking.
When I opened Teranotron up I was woundering about his spark crystal. Terrorsaur had one of the energon chips that were used before the TM2 line. I was disapointed to see that there was nothing in the spot where the chip was but impressed when I saw what Hasbro did instead. Where the body opens up at the back to reveal the jets the plastic was reworked to hold a green spark crystal. Very cool. Hasbro didn't take the easy way and the toy is better because of it. It's more than just a repaint therefore , more worth your while if you already have TM Terrorsaur.
Terranotron is an awesome repaint, as is Rapticon (check out that opinion) and will make a great addition to any collection.
