pozi240's Full Review: Belkin (F5D8233-4) Wireless Router
I agree with the previous comment for the most part. The lack of a printed manual is not a big deal, since the manaul is included on the CD guide that comes with it. (I didn't use it at all). That is point worth mentioning, you DO NOT need to use the "install CD" to configure this router. If you have configured a router before, don't bother with CD, just plug it in, connect to one of the ports and open your browser and type the dafault IP address of 192.168.2.1 , leave the password blank (default is blank) and start typing in your LAN and WLAN settings, and presto! You're finished. Oh, on my setup with the High Speed cable modem (Rogers), I had to turn OFF the built in firewall in the router (it is ON by default), since I could not get the router to "talk" with the modem at all...(modem and internet lights would flash amber)....took me a few hours to figure that one out...........had me baffled, even put in static DNS and DHCP IP's..... works great now, and since I run an aftermarket firewall on the computers, not needed anyway. Oh, for those unfamiliar, change your LAN settings to anything but the 192.168 scheme... (I use a 10.10.10.1 setup) and use WPA-2 security and put a password on the administrator account and your "locked down" and safe.
