The Belkin n52te is a single handed USB Keyboard designed for gamers.  The device is designed for your left hand (only), to leave your right hand free to use a mouse for navigation.

If you're looking up this device, you probably already understand the need.  When you're playing fast action games, like first person shooters or MMORG like World of Warcraft, reaction time is everything.  This mini key board won't help you with spread sheets or writing email, but when you need to have quick access to each of your game keys this pad gives you the edge.

There are fourteen main keys (in three rows) plus a scroll wheel, thumb controlled joystick, and "fire" button right above the joystick.  With the included software (for both Mac and PC) you can program each of these keys to correspond to a mouse movement, key stroke, or macro--and save the entire collection as a profile.

There's also a bar button with three lights on it (blue, red, and green) right under the thumb rest.  The bar let's you toggle between three completely indepent sets of profiles on the fly.  So with one click you can completely change how the keypad is programmed and have easy visual feedback as to what profile is active based on whether the blue, red, or green light is on.

You are not limited to those three profiles though.  The software let's you create as many profiles as you like.  Profiles can be imported or exported and can be triggered to become active based on what application you're running. 

Pros?  The device is comforatable and easy to use.  It's cross platform.  Profiles are simple to create and easy to switch between.  The device is basic black, but also has an option to turn on an alien like blue light that glows between the keys (it's a very nice effect).

Cons?  All in all it's a good device.  If you're left handed, you might not find it as useful.  Also, I would not rely on the thumb joystick for navigation in a complex game (it doesn't give you precise enough control).

Bottom line: if you want an edge in World of Warcraft or other fast paced games, this will give it to you.
