I had a SEVERE cold approximately a month ago. I woke up in the middle of the night unable to breathe. The next day, I went to see my primary care physician who prescribed a 12 hour medication for me. In addition, he gave me several samples of the Benadryl Allergy Cold. He recommended that I take the prescription during the day and the Benadryl in the afternoon and evening because the prescription might make me unable to sleep. The Benadryl was as effective as the presciption but enabled me to sleep at night. I found myself not even waking up in the middle of the night needing another dose of the medication. Great product...very effective!
