Pros: Nice alternative to self-tanning products, chic looking package, product is super concentrated.
Cons: Not the product for the fair-skinned, application bothersome.
The Bottom Line: If you're fair-skinned, avoid it. I don't care how cute you think the packaging is!

| girlfriday1's Full Review: Benefit Glamazon |
"Is that DIRT on your face?", my husband asks. "Dirt? Yeah Charles, it's the new beauty craze."
This could be the shortest review of a product I have done to date. My husband took one look at my face after I applied this tan-tint-in-a-bottle and that sent Glamazon to the back of the medicine chest.
To be fair, this product probably doesn't look good on me for the simple fact that I am fair. Verrrrry fair. I find this product to be a bit too matte to be "glowy". Sure it's tan colored, but not the color I tan. I've had much better success at achieving a healthy glow with bronzing powders that you apply the same as a blush.
Thumbs Down. Here's Why.
- The nail-polish like bottle sure looks cute, but I don't think the packaging engineers thought this one through..
Take an extremely watery substance, get women to apply it to their faces with a small nylon brush. So yes, the dye is now streaked on their faces, so let's give them an oversized geometric sponge that they can use to blend the hideous streaks out before the stain on their faces dries.
Does it compute to you?? There must be a better way.
Honest, If you don't work fast enough to blend in those streaks, you look like some tribal war monger. Keep adding more product, the scarier the results.
-If you don't get step one right (read above), you have to wet your face to get the war-paint off. Nice that the product lasts all day, but only if it actually looks good. Also, this stuff isn't tear proof. I tried it on for this review (research), and I noticed a prominent streak down my left cheek after I cried watching a sad report on the news. The streak only came off when I wet a tissue and rubbed my cheek.
-Brown color=dirt. Golden color=glow. No glow here. Perhaps if you're medium to dark complected? Perhaps. My somewhat darker-skinned pal tried it, but she too found it too much bother. So there it sits, in the medicine chest.
Okay, so what tint/wash would be better for the fair-skinned?
BeneFit cosmetics does make a product called BeneTint, a rose colored tint/wash that works far better on my complexion. But to be brutally honest, I find that the application is still too bothersome. Rose petal like color is wonderful, but if overdone can make you look like a porcelain doll. It won't make you looked tanned, but if you're truly fair-skinned, well then, you weren't meant to be tanned. Opt for a rosy glow. You won't look like you've rubbed dirt on your cheeks.
Another one by BeneFit is Flamingo Fancy. Apparently, the color is more coral and iridescent in nature. Possibly a winner, but I cannot speak from personal experience.
For now, this girl prefers powder. It might rub off, but I like it that way.
Oh, the Diva of Epinions, forkids raves about this product. If you're still curious, look for her review under the recommend column. She will give you the ingredient lowdown and her side of the story. I highly recommend her even though I have dissented on this particular product.
Go forth and shop my friends!
Best,
GF
