| havensk's Full Review: Benny's Burritos - West Village |
Benny's Burritos is a great place to eat if you're short on money but want a filling and relatively healthful meal. Their enchiladas and burritos are huge, almost swollen, as perverse as that sounds. Lots of rice and red beans, frijoles negros, etc. Pretty standard fare, but the meat (mainly chicken and beef, if memory serves correct) is cooked well and the spinach burrito in particular is my favorite. They also serve up pretty decent sangria and margaritas. The Benny's on Greenwich Ave is a great one to hit because it's just opposite Tea and Sympathy, a good place to wash down your filling dinner with some terrific pudding and other English victuals.
Interior decorating is also a nice draw -- Benny's has big picture windows in front that look out over the street; makes for good people-watching. As with many Village eateries, the walls, tables, lamps, etc. are brightly colored and crazy-eccentric, which makes for a fun dining experience.
The food is served pretty quickly and the staff is polit
