Better than Tempur-pedic - a multi staged epinion.

Pros: An American made, quality mattress delivered quickly at a much lower cost than Tempur-Pedic.
Cons: None - I'm convinced that this IS the best mattress on the viscoelastic market.
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a high quality, American made alternative to the overpriced Swedish sleep system look no further... Bergad Isoform is for you.

I studied several different viscoelastic mattresses online and in stores. I knew that I wanted a quality product at a reasonable price. Bergad caught my eye because I liked the idea of dealing directly with the manufacturer. I spoke with John in sales and Saul, the owner of the company. Both were very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Absolutely NO sales pressure.
Like I said in the title, this review is a multi staged work in progress. The only facts that I can tell are as follows.
1) I just got up from lying on the Bergad Kingsize Isoform Mattress for the first time. To me it actually feels better than the Tempur-pedic. It seems to support my body (all 280 pounds) more than the Tempur-pedic. The feel of the bed seems to have met my high expectations.
2) I placed my order two days ago. Within 48 hours my bed was delivered. Bergad is in Pennsylvania and I live in central Illinois. The speed of order processing and delivery are out-standing.
3) I purchased the mattress only (no box spring) for $799.00 plus shipping. The Tempur-pedic mattress alone is $1699.00 plus shipping. There's $900.00 in savings plus I received 2 king size pillows and 2 leg pillows free from Bergad. King pillows from Tempur-pedic were quoted at $165.00 each. So bottom line I saved $1230.00 by buying from Bergad over Tempur-pedic.

Well I've slept on the mattress for a week now and I have to admit that my lower back does feel noticeably better. One little adjustment that I had to make is that the mattress seems to hold a little body heat. Easy one to fix, use less blankets. My wife seems to be not as cold so she enjoys the little extra warmth.
So far my wife believes that she is sleeping better and I might be. I don't feel like I'm 18 again but I'm less achy overall and my lower back is much better.
One thing that could be better for us is having thicker pillows. The free pillows are comfortable but I have to bend it over to get the thickness I like.
My credit card bill came today and was exactly correct. Bergad is a reputable company in all aspects of my dealing with them.
My wife and I recommend this product after one week of use. I'll make more reports as time goes on.

My wife and I are thrilled with our mattress.
I forgot to mention the 90 night sleep guarantee, a 20 yr (10/10) warranty in my prior postings. When my wife and I have guests over we ask them if they want to lay on our bed. Everyone loves it! One very big plus these days is that this mattress is American Made with American customer service. Which is something we found refreshing.
Please don't be fooled by the Higher priced foam mattress's. For all the reasons stated above TRY BERGAD when you're ready to buy!

My wife and I wish that we would have bought this mattress years ago. I'm not as stiff and achy and she's gotten relief from her arms going numb while she sleeps. It has to be the construction of the Isoform.
Some stats on the mattress construction follow.
1) 5.5 lb/ft3 (88.1 kg/m3) Density viscoelastic material. One of the densest highest quality viscoelastic's available today.
2) 2.5 lb/ft3 density base foam. Firm supportive base for perfect posture.
3) Zippered Cover which is Washable, Removable.
4) Lowest pressure readings - Low interference pressures means improved blood circulation resulting in less tossing and turning throughout the night.
5) Full 3" thick viscoelastic top and a 5" hi-density base for a 8" thick mattress. This mattress NEVER should be turned over.
This mattress comes in all sizes including twin, full queen, king, cal, king and even a waterbed king. I believe that Bergad can custom make about any size mattress also.

Wow..... is it ever good to be home. My family and I we're on vacation the last 10 days of which I slept in 2 different hotel rooms and in a cruise ship cabin. My back was bugging me every morning. Slept in my bed last night. No Backache this morning.

Still no back problems since buying this mattress. The only noticeable change in this product is the mattress cover has stretched a little. This is the best mattress that my wife and I have owned in our 33 years of marriage.

The mattress cover is showing a little wear. We rotate the mattress once in awhile. I do not have the lower back pain that haunted me for years before buying this mattress. Good investment. Still happy. Six years and counting.
