| blackburnsport's Full Review: Beyond the Zone Turn Up the Heat Flat Iron Protect... |
Like I've said in my Ionic One Pass Flat Iron review, my mom is a cosmetologist, which allows me to find some very helpful products to keep my hair looking it's best. Poof! I found the orange Beyond the Zone Turn up the Heat Flat Iron Protection bottle, and I haven't let go since. I love it.
MY EXPERIENCE For the past four years of my life (which was spent in high school...Grrr), I did not straighten my hair very often. First of all, the flat iron I was using was a piece of junk. I hated it. Secondly, I was worried about my hair becoming damaged. Personally, I like the look a soft, sleek, shiny hair. I would be so jealous of the girls that had that perfect look I was seeking. I would curl my hair more than I would straighten. So, when my mom introduced me to Turn Up The Heat Flat Iron Protection about one year ago, I absolutely loved it. I would apply it sparingly in sections over my hair with hairspray, and curl. Oh...it was amazing. My curls looked so dazzling. I couldn't believe it. The shine, the bounce, the life...they looked luscious. But then....I started applying too much. Not good. It would make my hair look and feel greasy. Well, I learned a good lesson; can't have too much of a good thing. It comes in an 8.5 fl oz. bottle which will last a long time. Each bottle lasts me about 4 or 5 months. That includes sharing with my sister once a week or so. It's great stuff.
USAGE When you use this protectant, you really want to be sparing. This stuff is potent and you get a lot of protection for a little. The mist is extremely fine which means it covers a lot of ground with just one spray. Once it's on your hair, use a comb and pull it through to the ends so that all of your hair can benefit from the awesome protection it offers. Section your hair off so you can protect the bottom layers as well as the middle and top. Like I said before, using too much will result in oily, greasy looking hair.
CONCLUSION I love the sleek, shiny, luscious look I get every time I use Turn Up The Heat Flat Iron Protection. But more importantly, I enjoy the heat damage protection I receive from this awesome mist. It keeps my hair protected, especially since it's long. My hair reaches the middle of my back and it takes a lot to prevent split ends and damaged hair. That's why I love to use this stuff. I can definitely tell if I forget it or don't use it. My hair looks and feels like crap. And so, I recommend this to any woman who wants sleek, shiny, protected, manageable hair.
Thanks for reading!
