Yes, yes... very Neil Young-ish, and I'm glad to know that I'm not off my rocker on this one. Who would have thought that Dinosaur Jr., of all bands, would not only reunite, but put out one of the most exciting records I've heard all year?
I actually got this (from a fellow Epinionator - thanks again, dude!) about six weeks ago as a promo, but when I saw it in the store yesterday, I almost bought a legit copy just because I love it so much.

This is one hell of a review and aptly sums up the band and their sonic worldview. This is a fabulous record in all its it gnashing and messy passionate glory. [They remind me very much of Neil Young on this album: bombast and distortion colored with underlying emotion and connection). So, this is definitely on my list for albums of the year that came out of left field that I stumbled over and was genuinely surprised by. That is to say, I agree. cheers
