Disney Big Hugs Plush Toy Rocket

The Basics
The Disney Big Hugs Plush Rocket is a rocket-shaped stuffed toy based on Disney Junior’s Little Einsteins television show. The four main characters – Leo, Annie, Quincy and June – are visible in rocket’s front window. While I think there is also a beanbag-sized Rocket available, Big Hugs Rocket is firmer and larger. It’s actually just the right size for a toddler to hug.

Although Little Einsteins still airs and remains relatively popular with the toddler set, new episodes are no longer being made. This means all Little Einsteins toys – including this plush rocket – are very difficult to find and generally offered new only at inflated prices. You’ll have to go to the secondary market for the Big Hugs Rocket, Big Hugs June, or Big Hugs Leo. While the rocket is currently priced at a whopping $59.99 on Amazon.com, I got mine there new for around $25.00 and I currently see eBay listings for new Rockets that are closer to this price.

Our Experience
Little Einsteins is a high quality educational children’s show that I am happy to have my daughter watch. While $25.00 is a lot to spend for a stuffed toy, I’m glad I snatched up the Big Hugs Rocket when I did, given how tough it is to find Little Einsteins anything.

I think the whole concept of a stuffed rocket is kind of fun. The Big Hugs Rocket is a good-looking version of Rocket made of a particularly nice shade of red fabric. It looks just like Rocket from the show. Some of the characters on the window screen look a tiny bit distorted from being printed on silk, but my daughter can easily identify each of them which is all that matters. The toy seems to be pretty well-made and sturdy. I don’t see any notice weak seams prone to leaking fluffy filling like we recently encountered with a Disney Kermit the Frog doll.

Final Thoughts
The Disney Big Hugs Plush Rocket is a great stuffed animal based on a great show for kids. If you have a Little Einsteins fanatic at your house, you’ll have to decide how much you’re willing to pay for Rocket and then do a little work to find a good deal on the secondary market. This stuffed toy could also be a really great surprise for your Little Einsteins-loving neice, nephew, or godchild.
