| LILvoyce's Full Review: Bigelow English Tea Time |
I love Bigelow's Earl Grey so much, I thought I would give English Teatime a try. I love black tea, and with it being the only ingredient in Bigelow's English Teatime, I was expecting it to be good.
What your getting
Bigelow's English Teatime comes in a 20 or a 28 tea bags to a pack, complete with drawstrings and tags, that match their blue packaging. Bigelow considers this tea to be a "Full bodied Tea." Most of the time I see this product priced around $3 for 20 tea bags. I did find some of the Bigelow tea products on sale this week at my local Food Lion. They were 3 boxes for $6. That isn't bad.
Steeping Time
Steeping time calls for 1-2 minutes. I tend to steep mine for 2 minutes over about 6 oz of water.
My Thoughts
Bigelow's English Tea Time produces a fairly dark brown cup of tea if steeped for at least 2 minutes. I found this tea to be very enjoyable. It was not as strong as some black teas I have had, but still very enjoyable. I must admit that I was expecting to like the English Tea Time more than I did their version of Earl Grey. I was wrong, the Bigelow's Earl Grey produces an even better cup of black tea that is a bit more full bodied in taste.
I love the English Tea Time with or without sugar, hot or cold. I haven't felt the need to try a bit of cream in this one. I think this tea is best served hot, with one Splenda packet, although it is sure nice on a hot day over ice.
I do not experience any aftertaste, or bitterness while drinking this tea. My children also love to drink this tea. They are very picky about their tea as well. They won't drink it if it tastes to strong. My son likes his hot with lemon and honey. My other kids love to drink this tea with way to much sugar in it.
Other Information

You can also call them to get one of their free gift catalogs, or to just ask them questions.
Overall?
I would purchase this tea again, but only if they were out of the Earl Grey. I do however highly recommend this tea and give it 5 stars. I think it would make a nice breakfast tea. There are no carbs or calories in this tea, which means it is great for my diet.
