I've got a hormone disorder which can cause excess hair growth in unwanted places. So, when Vanica was first introduced, my Endocrinologist said he'd be happy to write me an RX for it if I wanted it. In case you don't know, Vanica is an prescription cream that is supposed to make the area in which it's used to have less hair, finer hair and slow the hair growth. Knowing my Doctor would prescribe it for me if I wanted it left me feeling good. However, since it is for purely cosmetic reasons, my insurance would not pay for it. Thus, I'd have to pay out of pocket the whole $50 per tube and I'd heard that with daily use, one tube would only last a month. Um, no thanks, right?
You can imagine my happiness when Biore Beyond Smooth Daily Facial Moisturizer - Normal/Oily arrived on the market! I really wanted to try it out. But I had my doubts. I didn't doubt that it might help since I experience good results from Jergens Naturally Smooth Shave Minimizing Moisturizer. My concern was in the fact that so many moisturizers on the market today either don't work for me, make my skin feel waxy or break me out. A very dear, understanding friend sent me a generous sized sample from her bottle of Biore Beyond Smooth Daily Facial Moisturizer - Normal/Oily and I tried it out. She'd sent me plenty enough to see if it would work with my skin -- even though results can take up to 6 weeks, I noticed a change almost immediately (which may or may not have been all in my head). Of course I went out and bought myself a full sized bottle of Biore's Beyond Smooth Daily Facial Moisturizer - for Normal to Oily Skin.
Just the Facts
I have a time of it finding Biore's Beyond Smooth Daily Facial Moisturizer - for Normal to Oily Skin locally. I don't know what it is, but every store here carries the version of this product for Normal to Dry Skin, but not the one for Normal to Oily Skin. After looking at about 8 different stores, I finally found Biore's Beyond Smooth Daily Facial Moisturizer - for Normal to Oily Skin and bought the 4 fl. oz. bottle for about $6.
Biore's Beyond Smooth Daily Facial Moisturizer - for Normal to Oily Skin comes in a white plastic bottle. There's a purple screw on and off cap and then you just squeeze the bottle and the white lotion will come out of the top. I actually like the squeeze type bottle as it allows me to get just the right amount without wasting a bunch, and if it the bottle tips over there isn't a huge mess.
Biore's Beyond Smooth Daily Facial Moisturizer - for Normal to Oily Skin is very light and airy and has a nice sweet scent to it. The scent isn't strong but it is noticeable. It does tend to fade away, so doesn't pose a scent clashing problem. The product itself is a white shade and I'd describe it as a runny lotion. Not super runny, but it's far from being a cream.

I tend to get hair growing on my neck. It's not pleasant and not something any woman wants. You can't really tell I've got it as I remove it all the time. So I was really wanting a product that would help me with this. I wanted a product that would do exactly what Biore's Beyond Smooth Daily Facial Moisturizer - for Normal to Oily Skin promised and frankly the fact that this product is a moisturizer on top of that was just gravy.
So I started using the sample a friend sent me the same day I got it. Now, perhaps it was all in my head but I swear to you within two days I could feel a difference! No kidding. If I try, I could usually feel the hair coming back in every night, however even that first night there just wasn't as much of it and it wasn't as long as usual. I was so happy I could have kissed the person who made this product!
So I kept using it every day. Now, I only use this product on my neck and I only use it in the morning. I could use it in the evening, but um.... I guess I'm just too lazy or something. I've got enough steps in my nightly skin care regime that I don't want to add another. It's now been about 4 months since I started using this product and the results I've gotten are simply divine!
The hair, while yes, it's still there is so much finer and softer. It's growth rate has slowed down a great deal. I'd say it's improved a good 65-70% and I am more than thrilled with that. This product has lived up to it's claims as far as helping to slow down hair growth as well as making the hair thinner, finer and softer.
Now, as a moisturizer I've been quite pleased with Biore's Beyond Smooth Daily Facial Moisturizer - for Normal to Oily Skin. My skin is sensitive, and many drug store products tend to clog my pores. This product has not caused any problems for me. No redness, no irritation, no blemishes. Nothing. It does give my neck the perfect amount of moisturizer, too. My neck seems to need a bit more moisture than my face (since my neck doesn't get oily or shiny) and Biore's Beyond Smooth Daily Facial Moisturizer - for Normal to Oily Skin has proven to be a great product for this. The skin on my neck is smooth and soft. Not the least bit dry or greasy. Biore's Beyond Smooth Daily Facial Moisturizer - for Normal to Oily Skin absorbs into the skin fairly quickly which is always a plus and it leaves no residue on my skin whatsoever.

If you would like a product to help with any unwanted facial hair as well as moisturizer for your Normal to Oily skin I highly recommend you give Biore's Beyond Smooth Daily Facial Moisturizer - for Normal to Oily Skin a try. It's more than worth the $6, and that one 4 oz. bottle will last you quite a long time. Mine isn't even half gone. For me, this product is a godsend and I will definitely be purchasing it again when my bottle starts to run low.
If this product sounds good to you, but you've got Normal to Dry skin, please look for Biore's Beyond Smooth Daily Facial Moisturizer - for Normal to Dry Skin.
Now, if you're already happy with your current moisturzer, yet have been thinking of trying out Vanica; I'd suggest you buy a bottle of Biore's Beyond Smooth Daily Facial Moisturizer - for Normal to Oily Skin first and use it faithfully only in the areas you have the unwanted hair growth. You can always use your favorite moistuizer over or in places where you do not have any unwanted hair growth. This product is much less expensive than Vanica and at least for me, it really does work!
