I love the fact the Bissell Pet Eraser really does what it advertises to do. I've had this awesome vacuum for about a month now and use it about once a week to pick up my cat's hair and the litter that she tracks from her litter box to my rug. The first time I used it, I couldn't believe how much crap this thing picked up. Not only was the cat hair and litter gone from my rug, but so was the dust and other little debris that my current cordless and old handheld vacuum was not able to suck up.
I love that there's a HEPA filter but be sure to clean out the actual filter (just remove from the debris cup and tap filter over trash until most of the dust is removed) after every use. I didn't realize I needed to clean it until after I used 3 or 4 times and saw how much dust it had collected. I clean out the cup after every use but I will now be sure to clean the filter as well.
Another thing that I love is that this is not a cordless vacuum....meaning, it will not run out of juice in the middle of the cat hair/litter removal process. I find with constant charging on a cordless, the battery holds less power after a while. There are two plastic guards that come with the Pet Eraser: a rubber piece with "teeth" and a hard plastic one for non-carpeted floors. The "teeth" on the rubber guard is designed to "pull up" the carpet fibers in order to pick up the junk that might be embedded in the carpet or rug. It really works.
The only cons is that it's a little bit on the heavier side and it's a bit on the loud side but it's really no biggie and should not be a deterent.
This has been one of the best purchases I've made :)
