ronconherr's Full Review: Bissell 9200 Upright Vacuum
I purchased my ProHeat 2x during the Christmas 2006 season at Amazon. I had a budget of $200, and this one stood out above the rest. One of the nicer features is that it heats the water up to 2x the temperature of normal tap water. A feature you won't even find in a Rug Doctor you'd rent from Wal-mart. I also like the fact that it is an upright steam cleaner, which makes it easy to use. The upholstery attatchment is equally as convenient. I've been using my mom's Bissell for years (this was before the uprights were available), and ours is a far improvement from hers. Cleanup is easier, re-filling water and cleaning liquid is a snap. Plus it's just overall well put together. Her upholstery attatchment has been broken & superglued many times, it just wasn't a well thought out design. Ours is a pleasure to use. It's a really nice machine to have around, especially when you have a sudden mess that needs to be cleaned right away (especially if you have 3 little ones like I do, and they all have the flu at the same time). Cleanup is a snap, the only complaints I would have, is the water doesn't last very long, so I have to refill it more than I'd expected to. Another complaint would be the amount of cleaning liquid it uses. It doesn't take long to use up the cleaning liquid, and then you have to refill again. My guess is, this is controlled by the dial that controls the kind of area you're cleaning (heavy traffic, normal traffic ...). I like to select heavy traffic, just to get my carpets cleaner ... I think it lets the cleaner out too fast though. My moms cleaner, you just add the cleaner to the water ... I think I like that method better.
