If you are looking for a floor carpet scrubber and not one that will do stairs, then this will work for you. You can find this at K-Mart for right around one hundred dollars. Bissell Pro-Heat turbo deep cleaner will affectively clean your flooring needs. This will only work well on flat floors, but not on stairs or furniture. This is too heavy and bulky to be used on more than three stairs at a time.

Description
Just to give you an idea about this scrubber, this is an upright steamer that has a one gallon tank that will sit on top of the brushes. This will use twelve amps to operate and you can plug this into any household outlet. This scrubber comes with three attachments that will allow you to do other jobs, other than the regular floor. These attachments will attach to the 8’ flexible hose that stays connected to the steamer at all times. The electrical cord is approximately 27’ long and it is sufficient for all of my purposes. This also has a built in heater in which if you do decide to use it, it will pre-heat the water 25 degrees hotter before it comes in contact with the carpeting.  

Experience
I would highly recommend that you vacuum your floor before you use this steamer because it you do not this cleaner will clog up very quickly with dirt and animal hair. This steamer is just like a vacuum cleaner and will also pick up all debris that it comes across. I usually use very hot water and with the assistance of the steamer will keep it hot the whole time that it is being used. The tank that sits on top act like a two stage system, there is a plastic bladder that you pour the clean hot water into and then when the steamer collects the dirty water it deposits the dirty inside of the tank on the outside of the bladder. This is how the machine keeps the two waters separate. There is a separate container for the solution and while the steamer is pushing this out on the carpeting there is a red plastic spinner that will tell you that the solution is still being applied. Once you have filled both of these containers then you can begin to clean your carpeting. It is a very simple process, all you have to do is turn the steamer on and then push it forward while squeezing the trigger the whole time. Then when you have went as far as you want to go, release the trigger and slowly pull backward on the steamer all the while watching the dirty water being sucked backed into the steamer.

This is so simple to use as long as you remember to pull this back slowly too allow this to suck up the soiled water it will work properly on you flat floor. This is way too hard to use on stairs and furniture. This unit weighs approximately 35 pounds and the hose will only allow you to go up a few stairs at a time. I have tried to use this on all types but found it to be inadequate and not feasible to use on anything but a flat floor. When you do use it on a flat floor you will be very happy with the results. The solution will not only clean but it will also deodorize your carpeting. If you have any stains that have been there for a while you might want to pre-soak the spot first, I have noticed that if you work the steamer back and forth over the spot several times then it will work the spot out. You can purchase the Bissell solution for twenty dollars for a large bottle or it you want to all of the other brands will also work with this steamer.

Conclusion
I have found this steamer to do a very good job on your flat floor but this is a real hassle and time consuming to use for anything else. This is excellent for light carpet cleaning but if you need a deep down steam cleaning you will probably need to hire a professional service to take care of that once a year cleaning. If all you want to use this for is that light duty cleaning this will be good for that type of job. We have been using this for a couple and it has worked well on the floors but since it is a real pain for any thing else, all of the attachments are just ornaments. I can only give this 2.5 stars.
