Pros: Excellent suction power, gets the job done, bag less.
Cons: No retractable cord, very noisy and it takes in everything on its way.
The Bottom Line: I will definitely recommend this vacuum, it is a good deal, and it gets the job down. However, if you want something quiet - do not get this one.
smartmomsine's Full Review: Bissell Velocity Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum
This is a great vacuum that gets the job done. I have tile floors and rugs, and the suction power is simply excellent. The cord is long which is great, since I do not have to keep changing from the cord from outlet to outlet, as I clean around the house. This vacuum cleaner comes with several tools, and brushes, and there is something for every occasion and every need.
I bought this vacuum cleaner two months ago at Target, after I had done extensive Internet research to find the best vacuum cleaner at the best price, and it has definitely satisfied all my needs. I am very happy that I decided to go for the cheaper vacuum cleaner, since I was bit unsure at first about whether the quality would be good at this price.
I love the fact that it is a bag less vacuum cleaner, since this means less hassle with vacuum bags, and it also means one less regular expense in my budget. A great plus about the bag less feature is that it is extremely easy to open and empty it, and it is easy to replace the container an lock it as well.
This vacuum has three downsides.
First of is the noise, since this is a very loud vacuum, my boys run off screaming, when I first turn it on, because they are afraid of it. It sounds like a very strong, powerful vacuum monster that does not have mercy on anything.
This leads me to the second downside of this otherwise excellent vacuum cleaner. It is actually a bit ironic, since its weakness is its strong side as well, because although it is great with all this suction power, I found that it can be a negative thing as well. I had actually read about this problem in another reader review, so I was very careful when closing in on power cords and rugs. However, it only took one moment of not paying attention, before this powerful monster had sucked in the new area rug in my children's room. Some of the backside of the rug was torn off, and the vacuum....well it took a little break, and my husband had to replace the belt. It was an easy fix though, and the new replacement belt cost 2.97$, and we were able to find it in Lowe's on a Sunday afternoon, when all the recommended sewing machine service stores were closed. I am pleased to say that the suction power is just as great as before, and I am now extra careful, since I know how powerful this vacuum is.
The third negative about this vacuum is that it has no retractable power cord, which I thought all vacuums had nowadays.
Yet, despite the three negative comments that I have about this vacuum, I still think that the positives outweigh the negatives. Just pay attention, when you vacuum, and you will be able to stay away from the problems I have run into.
